  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) Whether or not there is a test for HGH yet is a point of debate, with contradicting stories from all kinds of people. Some I've heard say there is an HGH test through a blood test that was ready just in time for Turin, others have said they did the blood tests and kept samples "retroactively", so that when there is an HGH test ready, then can go back and check the blood samples for it. That issue is VERY confusing. IIIRC, both cases are actually correct. Their not sure if the current tests for HGH actually work, so their being cautious with it and also storing the blood just in case.
  2. Played it, don't own it. It's absolutly terrible. Get MLB2k6 instead.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 04:22 AM) Goldberg. Remember when he won 170 straight matches? An amazing run...
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 04:21 AM) I was actually suspicious of his 2004 vs 2005 stats, as well as many other players. Not to turn this into a Pods thread, but I doubt it. His HR numbers came at the expense of all of his other stats. I think his numbers were a change in hitting style.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 04:16 AM) He might be the only guy I am still sure is clean...him and Adam Dunn. Only the giant ex football players are safe apparently. Scotty Pods has had an increase in power lately...
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 03:35 AM) You guys are very lucky with the time zone. Unfortunately for me, most of the games are on at about 2a.m Yeah. Korea/Japan 2002 was hell.
  7. IMO, it'd be worse for baseball to see guys like Pujols and Alex Rodriguez(Note: A-Rod has never been connected to anything, but he fits the category of young stud trying to save baseball) get caught than to see Bonds, McGwire, or Sosa go down.
  8. QUOTE(gettysburg32 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 02:50 AM) Along those same lines, and probably of at least passing interest to many Chicagoans, the Poland vs. Ecuador match tomorrow will be an awesome scene with a stadium 90% or more full of Poles. I'm looking forward to that match more than Germany/Costa Rica tomorrow for that reason and because that match will probably determine the second team to make it out of that group (Hopefully it's Poland). My VCR will be out of gas by the end of this month. I'm one of the few Americans that the '94 WC had a big impact on. As far as anticipation of a sporting event, MLB Opening Day is the only thing that beats the World Cup for me. (I love college basketball too, but the WC beats out the NCAA tourn. because of the once every four years thing). I was only 5, but I remember the '94 World Cup and loved every minute of it. Attending the games live was absolutly amazing. I remember the crowds marching miles and miles in huge bunches to attend the game. And now I can't frickin wait for tommorrow. Counting down the hours.

  13. QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) I am selling 2 tickets tonight section 112, row 15. I paid $32 each + ticketmaster fee's. I am looking for the best offer(face or below face) because it is so close to game time, and you will have to meet me to pick them up. I work right on 167th and Kedzie, so we would have to meet somewere around there. If interested, send me a PM with how much you want to buy the pair for. Thanks, Mike Mods, can this please stay in the Pale Hose talk since more people read this part of the board then the ticket exchange part. Since the game is only 5+ hours away, I hope you will leave it here. If you cant I am sorry for putting it here. I may or may not be PMing you soon.
  14. His line: 7 IP, 1 ER, 5 K's, 1 BB Not bad, not bad at all. EDIT: I'd like to know how this game is about to end and it's 1:10 Central time. Damn.
  15. Interested to see what Loaiza does tonight.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) "Get that money man! Get that money man! Get that money man! Gotta get that money man..."
  17. - I love Murph. He is the only radio guy in Chicago who will consistently talk baseball. Something key when the city's hot radio discussion is who the back-up left offensive line-man will be. Really, I don't care. - The Score needs to learn that you don't need an arrogant radio personality to be successful. See Mike and Mike in the Morning for reference. - Mike North is fine. I think he's a good fit for the morning lineup, just not well suited anywhere else. - Boers and Bernstein are unlistenable. And before the "Oh you just don't understand their show comments", I do. Their act/gimmick has gotten tiresome.
  18. I can't be the only one who just doesn't care.
