Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. Dempster blows a 2 run save, and then the Braves take the lead after scoring 2 runs on a sacrifice fly. Yes, you read that right, 2 runs on a sacrifice fly.

Yeah, both catchers were hurt. Luckily they had Fick on the roster or God knows who'd be catching.

Comparing it player by player doesn't do the White Sox justice. When you have what is by far the best 3-4-5 combo in baseball, the rest of the line-up barely matters. Dye, Konerko and Thome are able to carry the offense months at a time. The scary thing about the White Sox is that they can keep winning at this pace all year. This is because, well, their the best team in baseball from top-to-bottom and have proved it in the past. And the Tigers? We just can't be so sure.

Did anyone catch one of the most horrible performances by a catcher ever by Matt LeCroy? Frank Robinson had to take LeCroy out in the middle of the inning. Robinson then broke down crying in a press conference after the game because of the situation.

There's no way Pods gets away from this without punishment. I'd also like to see Barrett get much more than 10 games(Something that has yet to be addressed in this thread, surprisingly). Unfortunatly, this is looking less and less likely.

Is it just me or does every semi-decent pitcher that has ever pitched in MLB baseball come across a time in his career where there are radio reports of him losing a ton of velocity? And every time it turns out to be BS.

Mariotti is great on Around the Horn. It's just too bad he is a totally different person when he writes for the Sun-Times.
