Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. Dempster blows a 2 run save, and then the Braves take the lead after scoring 2 runs on a sacrifice fly. Yes, you read that right, 2 runs on a sacrifice fly.

dayum... KC 6, Det 0, no outs, 1st inning
QUOTE(JackTalkThai @ May 26, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) That's pretty funny...and original. When's the last time you were in Detroit? Was it when they hosted the Super Bowl this year? Or the Ryder Cup in 2004? Perhaps the Stanley Cup Finals a year or two before that? What about the NBA Finals or MLB All Star Game last year? Or perhaps you're planning on visiting the area when they host the PGA Championship in 2008? Or an NCAA Regional in 2007? Or maybe the NCAA Final Four in 2009? You're right, the area -must- be a toilet for all of those defunct sports organizations to hold their championships there. Detroit also hosted the A.L. Central clinching game in 2005. That was pretty big.

Yeah, both catchers were hurt. Luckily they had Fick on the roster or God knows who'd be catching.- dayum... KC 6, Det 0, no outs, 1st inning
Comparing it player by player doesn't do the White Sox justice. When you have what is by far the best 3-4-5 combo in baseball, the rest of the line-up barely matters. Dye, Konerko and Thome are able to carry the offense months at a time. The scary thing about the White Sox is that they can keep winning at this pace all year. This is because, well, their the best team in baseball from top-to-bottom and have proved it in the past. And the Tigers? We just can't be so sure.- 2006 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxin @ May 26, 2006 -> 03:53 AM) He actually cried??? Yeah, complete breakdown. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 26, 2006 -> 03:53 AM) Why was LeCroy even catching? Good question. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=260525120 Story- Official Soxtalk 2006 World Cup Thread
I haven't ben prepping for the World Cup as much as I would have liked to. What is Rooney doing these days? Will he play? Still hurt?- 2006 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 26, 2006 -> 03:43 AM) What happened? The Astros stole 7 bases on LeCroy. This forced Robinson to pull LeCroy out IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INNING! After the game, Robinson comepletly broke down crying because he felt that he severely embaressed his player. IMO, Robinson's crying made the siatuation much worse.- 2006 MLB Catch-All Thread
Did anyone catch one of the most horrible performances by a catcher ever by Matt LeCroy? Frank Robinson had to take LeCroy out in the middle of the inning. Robinson then broke down crying in a press conference after the game because of the situation.- KU Basketball To Go Undefeated?

Pretty much anything regarding the White Sox deserves its own thread in Pale Hose since we are the hardcore.- dayum... KC 6, Det 0, no outs, 1st inning
What channel is this game on?- JD TV
I saw the Conan episode. Funny! I really hope they continue this series. It's hilarious. "Peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat!"- Suspensions Coming Down Friday
There's no way Pods gets away from this without punishment. I'd also like to see Barrett get much more than 10 games(Something that has yet to be addressed in this thread, surprisingly). Unfortunatly, this is looking less and less likely.- Mark Prior
Is it just me or does every semi-decent pitcher that has ever pitched in MLB baseball come across a time in his career where there are radio reports of him losing a ton of velocity? And every time it turns out to be BS.- Stephen A. Smith

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 24, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) You're wrong. I'm pretty sure from what I remember they don't have the roast beef sandwich that is availble in right field on the bottom deck. No roast beef=Terrible food- Soxtalk Question
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 24, 2006 -> 06:17 PM) Hey, how long has the user box at the bottom of the page been back? So glad they put that back! I think just today. Anyway, no I rarely ever read the first page. The only thing I ever read are the Future Sox articles and every once in awhile the Hot or Not articles.- UPPER DECK FOOD
The upstairs food is terrible. Right field roast beef sandwich FTW!- This worries me
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 24, 2006 -> 05:57 PM) This is true, he played 7 games and 58 Innings over there, he also avoided picking up a single error over that 7 game span. That's better than Crede.- The 2006 team just did something the 2005 team never did...
QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ May 24, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) I would venture to say that we are at least .500 at home against them since 2001... Considering we have only beaten them in 2 series at home and neither was a sweep, I would highly doubt it. QUOTE(NYSox35 @ May 24, 2006 -> 06:05 PM) I'm guessing .51 is way higher than normal, right? That's an extra run per 2 starts. So yeah, that's a lot.- Man-laws
