  1. Welcome Josh. Another thing about Soxtalk is the the thread will sometime go wildy off-topic, as seen by you welcome turned who cares about the media thread.
  2. Attending game 1 at the Cell
  3. QUOTE(wsox08 @ May 4, 2005 -> 02:46 AM) yuck.... steve stone.... boo cubs, well used to be This would be defying the cubs actually. Rubbing it in their face that we could handle him but they couldn't.
  4. Robin Ventura.... He did some ST games, right?
  5. STILL the MLB's best record. EAT s*** TWINKIES!!!!!!
  6. I viewed this as a dilemma. We will probaly need some offensive help, but then it went through my head. Who do you replace? All of our offensive starters are above average and really none should be sitting on the bench. 3B is the only real place to possibly upgrade, but even I don't want to pull the plug on Crede after his hot start.
  7. And heads, The 2.0 wallpaper link is not working in the original post, just so you know.
  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) Ian, those are both kickass wallpapers... :fyou the haters I SAID I LIKED THE 1ST ONE!!!!! I just found it a bit odd that that was the picture he was using. And sorry Showtime, I didn't mean to put you through the hassle of making another one.
  9. Can someone help me with something? I made an image in piant. Now how do I go about posting it? I saved it as a jpg., thats all I thought I had to do.
  10. Anyone buy the Ben Folds CD or have atleast listened to it? I'm thinking of going out and buying it.
  11. This got me really thining, the Cubs have had more failed steroid tests than any other organization. Granted, all of those were minor leaguers, but Prior is still very young. Now his pitching coach has admitted to steroids. Not quite there yet, but its almost time to connect the dots on this kid. Me thinks this post will be bashed.
  12. QUOTE(shakes @ May 3, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Wasn't this guy Prior's pitching coach? Yes
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 3, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) Nice to see a few cubs trolls around here. Things are looking a little bleak in the ivy huh? Are they that dumb? They don't come when they take the series against us last year or when we collapse miserably, yet they show up when we have the best record in MLB. Someone explain.
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 3, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) I'll say this about that comment. When Don Drysdale was the Sox announcer, I always wanted him to be the pitching coach. What makes you think Stone wouldn't be qualified to be a pitching coach. I would assume that he knows something about pitching. He is qualified as long as he has the brains to tell Zambrano to STFU already, Wood and Prior to and stop whining over the 1st sign of a little pain and their bullpen that the 9th isn't much differeny from the 7th and 8th. Hell, why don't they hire me?
  15. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ May 3, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) Just another thing, I think that alot of sox fans bought (atleast on this board) into the small, smart, ozzie ball type of thinking. I dont think any of us saw 18-7 coming.... but we all kinda saw what KW saw when he manufactured this team. Were all some smart f***ing baseball fans.... (well except Jason). I think we all kinda deserve some DAP. I've always seen it this way too. This board totally got what KW was doing for the most part, yet the "experts" left this team for dead after they saw the loss of stat-builders as financial moves. Yet in reality, we saw this as part of KW's philosophy.
  16. After such a wonderful month, thats the best highlight you can find?!? Good job anyway though.
  17. Buehrle>Wood replied to HighHeat45's topic in SLaM
I Don't think I've ever laughed so hard after that opening sequence. Overall, I set myself up for it to be terrible but it wasn't, it was just awesome. The Louis-Peter angle started off a little slow, that was my only complaint. The Brian-Stewie angle=Pure Genius.
  18. White Sox was Harolds best team of April.
  19. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 1, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) 9 out of every 10 listeners that call in are retarded Bing bing bing. Most people with brains don't watch that nonsense.
  20. Barry Bonds. There has never been a greater baseball player in history, so I watch the Giants as much as I can. Also, saw him at the cell a couple years ago, and it is in one of my most memorable sports moments.
  21. It has kind of got a ring to it. Also, Is there any catchy name to go along with lows in OF fielding percentage?
