BP, honestly man. You guys are ranked 6th in the nation. Thats not enough respect? Your schedule has been to this point, very weak. Your SOS is in the 50+. Duke has played 1 team in the RPI top 50. You only go 7 deep. Duke's star player is a guy who plays little defense and has little ability to drive to the basket. There are plenty of reason right there. Duke fans on the CBB message board that I post on even admit that they get way too hyped up by the media. Now what are your reasons, other than the fact that they play in the ACC?

I know I'm late on this thread, but is someone honestly complaining about Duke not getting enough respect?

I'm biased towards Illinois and I doubt Williams will have a good NBA career.

I'm going to doubt Williams is going to go this year and he sure as hell won't be a pick from 5-10.(I know scouts said he could be a lottery pick during the summer but at this point, there is just no way.) His shot is just miserable and he really needs to improve that if he's going to make it in the NBA. Luther, on the other hand, is a probable 1st team AA at this point in the season, and has amazing potential with his athletisism. He will have the most impressive resume of all Illinois players after this season, book it.

Dee Brown, Deron Williams, Powell, and Luther should all have NBA careers of some sort. Maby Augie too if he has a good senior year. Luther will probaly be the best pro out of all and will likely get drafted the highest also.

Oh god people, JR is not cheap. We have have around a 73-75 million dollar payroll, which is good for about 10th in the league for highest payrolls, this coming from a team who constantly is in the bottom 10 for total attendence.

I've never gotten in an argument with him myself, but I've read a lot of his posts, and none of them provide any importance whatsoever.

Agree. People are underestimating the power of additions on of Contreas and Garcia for a whole season.

I'll just say this, our other options aren't exactly safe from injury(Perez and Miller) and won't put up much better numbers either. But they'll each make around 7-8 million per, compared to just 4(as much as 6).
