That's the impression I got from KW on the radio today

Brando's Bandwagon
I think the only way the Yankees get Johnson is either 1) Johnson will only waive his clause for the Yankees or 2) nobody else makes an offer for him. There's too many contenders with more prospects to offer for Johnson than the Yankees. We're one of those teams.

If there's going to be a lower limit of 1 per team, then there does need to be an upper limit of maybe 4 or 5 per team. If it's 1 per team, then each team can have a maximum of 5 players. They can have more if more than 5 are elected by fan voting (either as a starter or as a 32nd man). You could still have scenarios with a team having 7 in that case, but it wouldn't be as likely.

Brando's Bandwagon
Remember the thread I started a few weeks ago.... click here Guess I'm feeling maybe a little bit smarter (but not too much!)

Ozzie's managing
The thing that's been good about Ozzie is that everytime it seems like the guys are in a must-win situation, they do. During Manual's years, I'd always have the feeling that "this is a big game and they need to win it to get on track," but they'd always lose. It seems like this year they manage to win the games that I get that feeling about. I think Ozzie says stuff and the players respond. That's as much as you can hope for from a manager.

Brando's Bandwagon
agreed. He'll be in on whatever. I'm sure he'd be willing to outbid the Yankees if he can. Also, anybody see Guardado give up the game last night? I'm cooling off a little bit on him...

Brando's Bandwagon
I heard today on Mike & Mike that RJ has decided he would waive his no-trade clause to be traded to a contender (the report named the Yankees). This seems weird considering some other reports that have sprung up, but apparently Randy has changed his mind. Brando, consider me on your "get RJ" bandwagon!

Don't throw it back
I hate hearing about people at Wrigley who bring an extra ball to the game and throw that one back. That's just cheap.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
Konerko for player of the game? He's been huge lately! I'm glad there's no All-Star game for him which might lead to a chance of a 2002 type slump as a result of the derby messing up his swing.

Don't call it a comeback, we were there the whole time.

Ozzie's managing
I think Ozzie's done a good job so far as the manager. The weakness of the bullpen really handcuffs him. If we had 2000's bullpen and this year's starters... that'd be scary.

Timo
Damn straight! He's done great in the late innings for us when we needed it the most.

Fallen Angels to Sox (we pray)
But as the day when the world declared in one voice "We will not go quietly into the night...we will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today, we celebrate our independence day!"
