  1. Eaton is your prototypical playing not to lose pick instead of going for the win. I’m sure others will disagree, but I’ve never trusted Hahn’s ability to put together the pieces for a WS contender via free agency.
  2. Twins are going to bring in some solid players over the next few months. Talent level pretty even between the two teams.
  3. He just didn’t read the Passan report correctly
  4. One of the reasons I’m surprised they want a long-term closer via free agency is they have 3 guys in the organization that could easily be big time closers (Bummer, Heuer, Crochet)
  5. Hahn will make comments about getting more resources as the season continues and cryptically talk about keeping the core together via extensions.
  6. That day killed Sox baseball. Also was the day of the Shields trade breaking.
  7. They will brag about unprecedented flexibility for trade deadline moves
  8. I’ve thought for a few months now he would have been the first pick of the draft if he pitched in college this year.
  9. Thanks for the recommendation. Thought it was interesting they mentioned Vaughn had difficulty hitting sliders. That was something that was noticeable in the Sox Summer Camp. Another reason they desperately need another lefty bat.
  10. La Stella makes all the sense in the world.
  11. I like him, he’s made it interesting the last few weeks. He’s had some solid information, but I think he’s gotten some hopes up on things.
  12. Would still love to know how someone who has White Sox sources knows what other teams are pursuing a player and how hard. If he knows sources from each team, then kudos to him.
  13. 4/56 is what Robert Murray said the ask might be
  14. Yep and why Yates makes more sense to me than Hendriks. His stats the last few years before the injury were insane. I also like the idea of him facing AL Central hitters who have never seen a splitter like his.
  15. Many posters have said it was a salary dump.
  16. Twins fans should be quite happy with the Sox offseason so far. Sox had a chance to put together a super team.
  17. Robertson was someone they had to trade along with an asset just to clear the salary for a weak return
  18. How about Cleveland United Nations Team? Have fun with that ESPN
  19. There’s a reason basically every free agent hasn’t picked a team yet. Any smart agent would have waited for Mets and Phillies to pick their GM. I don’t blame Hahn and company for not getting a deal done yet.
  20. NL Central offenses were garbage as well
  21. Especially with pitching injuries/fatigue expected to increase due to the awkward 2020 season.
  22. Good reference to Pomeranz, but he’s at like 9 a year and Hendriks wants 14 or so a year.
  23. No way in hell would I want the Sox to give 4 years to Hendriks. Jays make the most sense.
  24. They desperately need another starting pitcher. You’ve only added one more guy in Kopech from last year, a year in which they ran out of gas at around the 50 game mark.
