If Cubs pay like 25 mil with Heyward, you would be paying Yu and him about 33 million. Bauer and Joc will cost about 10 mil more than that.

I think Jerry saw what happened in the postseason and refuses for the team to get caught without a legit postseason starter they can rely upon for at least 3 games

Watch the deal get agreed to and Heyward veto it

Heyward is the great defensive RF who can hit RHP they seek. His contract is awful but it offsets the price for Yu.

He is in the rumor

Everyone has 6 degrees of separation with Granderson.

Why? It’s an all in move without giving up the farm.

Dan Clark

Dunning, Heuer and Leury??? Just spitballing

Game on

Rangers are delusional....everyone said so at the deadline. If they’re including Gallo, the price will be insane. Do you really think they want to open their new stadium (with fans) having a horrible team with no marketable studs. Gallo is the face of that franchise now.

They want a lefty bat supposedly and would be putting Gallo in the OF

I don’t even know where to start with this one. It’s easy, pitching is more important to them than an outfielder.

So Joel Sherman suggests it would take Clint Frazier and Luke Voit to get Lynn and Gallo. I’m sure Rangers would rather have Cease and filler

Gross....and by all accounts Kluber is going back east also

For who besides Bauer?

He has no idea how much TOR starters are valued in this weak pitching market.

Charles the Cat!! He already said Schwarber was going to be tendered

Then Cubs would ask for a boatload just for Yu

Heyward is fine if Yu comes with. Hell no if it’s just him.

I never said I would trade those guys for the Rangers players. I’m just saying that those expecting the cost to be that low are insane.

His cutters to lefty is dynamite. To righties he had a much harder time commanding it and ending up throwing a lot of hangers.

I’m stunned people want Eaton back. He was hated by his teammates here and he’s a member of the “Yoan Moncada limp every time you run hard” club. His defense has been quite poor lately as well.

Chris Young would get off to quite the start by unloading their two best trade chips for players we, as fans, don’t mind giving up.

A few laughs at my comment, but people really think the Rangers are going to from asking for Vaughn for Lynn to going “sure we will throw in our best offensive player also and don’t have to include Vaughn now”?
