Early observation on Eloy...he is so tall he’s struggling with low pitches, even those in the low. He’s doing a good job of laying off balls now, but he needs significant improvement on hitting the low pitch.
Some of the scouting reports since he's become a professional is he's struggling with velocity due to the timing of the leg kick. There's no doubt he has elite bat control though.
There were huge red flags with him before the trade, especially from KLaw that thought the quality of his contact was atrocious. I don’t think he’s really a long-term possibility for the Sox.
