  1. I missed the first 5 innings he pitched. Didn’t strike out anyone in the 6th but hit his spot on almost every pitch. You will laugh at this...Yoan wasn’t stealing on 3-2 pitch to Abreu
  2. Hope Timmy didn’t strain himself standing still
  3. Super tough inning for Giolito here. Great piece of hitting by Whit
  4. Not sure 2nd baseman had the bag
  5. I think he’s gone in the next 10 days
  6. Sox hitters are taking far too many fastballs for strikes.
  7. How about letting Yonder clear his head after his one start this week?
  8. Abreu’s bat is really dragging
  9. Sox brass has not proven they can effectively bring in premier free agents to support their core roster. Until we see that financial commitment to go with strong scouting, there absolutely should be questions about this team’s ability to compete. I think the Twins have a chance to be a real pain in the ass again for the next few seasons.
  10. Agreed Vaughn was 3rd on their board, no doubt. I do wonder if they were trying to get Abrams and Allan
  11. Good stuff...few other observations. I don’t think they were set on Vaughn until draft day. Sounds like they were trying to cut deals with probably Abrams in order to see if they liked that path more than Vaughn. Also, we know Gladney and Hinds were at their workout.
  12. So strange how some people treat Hahn like he has no say in anything (except good moves, of course)
  13. His justifications for so much stuff this year just makes him sound clueless
  14. I wonder if he’s getting released. He just had like 4 days off, and now another day?
  15. Is Yonder there? He’s not in the lineup today
  16. There might be 3-4 better closers available according to reports coming out since Kimbrel signed. Iglesias and Hand are possibly hitting the market. I wouldn't give up a top 100 prospect for Colome, as it's not like he's under control next year for an insane bargain.
  17. Just came across this, as it was very prominent tonight. It appears the Sox are tied for 2nd worst in all of baseball in terms of positioning. Just once, it would nice to see the Sox not be at or near the bottom of these analytical assessments of organizations. https://sportsinfosolutionsblog.com/2019/06/07/mlbs-best-positioned-infields/
  18. and whenever they want to DFA Alonso so Palka or Collins can get at bats in a season they're clearly not contending, that would be nice. Last thing we need is going into next year missing out on free agent targets and saying "let's see what Palka can do after hitting 35 homers in AAA", etc.
  19. Don't look at our upcoming schedule
  20. Fucking undisciplined at bats all night. So many bad pitches swung at.
  21. Great at bat for Tilson
  22. Things are really bad with Renteria right now. His pitching decisions have been more puzzling than usual the last few weeks. Herrera getting hurt/becoming a pitching machine seems to have really hurt the pen (or leaving Lopez in far too long), despite Marshall/Bummer/Colome's brilliance. With June looking like a potential avalanche of losses, it would be nice to squeak out a few wins due to quality decision making instead of losing because of bad decision making.
  23. I'll believe it when I see it. Ventura would probably still be the manager if he wanted to be. Hahn's not dumb...he knows as long as Ricky's around, there's one more scapegoat that he can eventually fire that will buy him more time.
