    I said this the other day, but I don’t think the organization has any idea how much last year killed the fan base.

    I don’t think it’s the worst thing for him to see what he needs to work on if/when he struggles. It’s not ideal, but maybe selfishly it at least gives me 3 at bats to watch during a game?

    Crochet and Fedde were two of the better pitches in the league. Yes the bullpen was bad last year, and I don’t see much in the way of improvement there either.

    Sosa and Vargas need to play as much as possible this year. If they still suck, then move on after 2025. Baldwin should be the utility player heading into the season.

    And that’s the biggest concern I have with Getz so far. It seems everyone they acquire sees their value tank.

    Who would they target? I agree they seem like the most likely trade partner, as they can afford him.

    Sure it does, they have no idea what they’re doing. When you view it through the lens that the entire organization is clueless…it makes sense

    They never learn…keep signing a lot of low, crappy contracts. At this point, sign Kimbrel. Maybe he has a strong first half and a team will go after him.

    I had the lowest of expectations heading into the offseason, and somehow Getz managed to disappoint. Every signing seems to be of someone with absolutely no upside.

    True, but he’s the only one with the potential to put up big numbers and carry the team for a week or two. If he’s traded, this year’s roster makes last year’s roster look solid.

    I don’t think it’s crazy, and I’m a big fan of Flagg. Big difference though is Flagg is almost two years younger.

    The damage is done. No difference between 100 or 120 losses in this coming year, the fan base has moved on.

    Bregman to Cubs sounds like it’s happening tonight. I just hope they don’t get Cease also.

    Really surprised it seems Cubs are going to get Bregman. Quite risky with the opt-outs and QO damage.

    Flaherty to Tigers. Really seems Cubs might get Bregman, which shocks me. Also might get old friend Cease finally.
