  1. real nice stretch for Delmonico, as it looks like he found some power with his wrist healed
  2. I think that's what they work on in the offseason. I completely agree with you, his hand-eye coordination is too good to waste on choppers.
  3. well the 55 was a lot of projection for how he'd mature as a pro. Some of his biggest supports going into the draft are the ones that have been the most negative about him (i.e.: KLaw)
  4. I disagree, I don't think he has the pure power to hit a lot of homers. Rather just have him work on hitting line drives while getting stronger and go from there.
  5. 2-4 with 2b for Rutherford Eloy has hit the ball hard 3 out of 4 times
  6. easily the best thing this coaching staff has done during their tenure is the daylight play at 2nd base
  7. Eduardo Escobar, Adam Jones, James Shields
  8. I'm not sure what him and Lopez have to do to improve their spin rate, but I hope they work on tinkering things the rest of the way. Just continuing to go forward with what they've done this year (especially Lopez) and ignoring metrics is wasting valuable development time. With that said, Cooper doesn't strike me as someone that cares about spin rate.
  9. It's a 92 mph fastball that had a piece of the plate. Given Giolito's spin rate, that's a bad pitch.
  10. another garbage pitch on an 0-2 count, as well as throwing 91-92 mph in the 5th inning
  11. There's the Petricka we all remember. Urban legend is that Bill Melton absolutely hated watching him pitch.
  12. wtf is Yoan looking at? Swing the bat, those were meatballs.
  13. his swing is all messed up right now. Lots of weak choppers, not a lot of line drive contact.
  14. Much better sliders to Grichuk and Drury.
  15. Guarantee they bring in a veteran to be one of the 5. Would it shock anyone if Shields is brought back (obviously not for the option he has)?
  16. I've said this for a while, but they're going to have to invest in rotation pieces this offseason. You can't pencil in both Giolito and Lopez with confidence.
  17. My god, he isn't close with his breaking pitches and serves up another meatball. So much damage done with two strikes tonight.
  18. About time for good luck. Giolito isn't pitching bad, but he's just a comfortable at bat is all hitters have to look for is fastball/change combo.
  19. Again, that's what happens when you don't miss bats
  20. Can't pitch in the majors with no breaking pitches and a meatball fastball. Some cheap hits but everything is up in the zone.
  21. At least we get to see Yolmer bat 2nd and Timmy 9th
  22. This ump sucks big time. Blown two calls badly already
