Update per Heyman: White Sox one of 3 teams meeting Machado
Because maybe they want to trade Stanton this offseason?

Update per Heyman: White Sox one of 3 teams meeting Machado
For example, why did the Yankees bring back Gardner if they really were worried about their outfield logjam and money issues?

Update per Heyman: White Sox one of 3 teams meeting Machado
Yeah too much is made of these big market teams saying they’re out on players. Lots of trades to be made to possibly open up positions and/or payroll.

Or Didi to 1b depending on his recovery

Update per Heyman: White Sox one of 3 teams meeting Machado
Well if Yanks are serious about Manny, that’s going to be difficult to overcome for the WSox

White Sox interested in reliever Joe Kelly
He did look sensational in the WS though

I don’t know about you, but this doesn’t exactly sound like what someone involved with an organization would say right before signing someone: https://mobile.twitter.com/jaysonst/status/1072200489951850496

Heyman says White Sox interested in Nelson Cruz
Twins just gonna try to lead the league in homers in that park?

White Sox interested in reliever Joe Kelly
Only way you get him is if you make him a starter or closer. No reason to try and outbid those other big market teams for another set-up man.

Dodgers have reached out about Jose Abreu
But what if they have a deal lined up to get Yonder Alonso?

Dodgers have reached out about Jose Abreu
Don’t be such a pessimist! In all seriousness, any move with Abreu would be made knowing if they’re going to get one of those guys. They’re not going to risk losing them because they wanted to to trade Abreu for non-top 100 prospects.
-
Dodgers have reached out about Jose Abreu
I don’t disagree, but it would seem a big shift to go whale hunting to putting an even worse roster on the field.
-
Dodgers have reached out about Jose Abreu
Don’t think they would, as god help this fan base meltdown if they trade Abreu for prospects and then don’t sign any significant free agents.

C. Perez is someone they’ve dangled.

Dodgers have reached out about Jose Abreu
Just throwing this out there as I agree with you. If they trade him and go big, they put Palka at first, Cruz DH and sign Manny. Cruz should be cheaper than Abreu and you get some prospects back. I don’t necessarily like this path though.

Cafardo reporting that Astros have been in touch with the Sox about Abreu (after they missed out on Goldschmidt)

This is like the Chiefs/Rams game...but the exact opposite. Both teams could have had 5-6 picks tonight.

Doesn't seem to have confidence, as he hasn't had much on these throws (aiming the ball?). With that said, this defense has been incredible.

Trubisky is quite rusty. Defense has been phenomneal.

Seen a few people suggest they’re one of the three mystery teams. I would be surprised though.

Mets, Padres, A’s. I like the way you think though about the Rockies, as it could allow them to trade Arenado for catching and prospects (ie: Contreras +)

Well they are also linked to two guys coming off major injuries (Miller and Britton)
