Given that Eloy has already selected his team once based off of his favorite player growing up and not the team offering him the most money. WSD has said before Rodon will definitely test free agency and go to the team that pays him the most.

Glasnow is basically worst case outcome for Cease, as Glasnow is never going to be a starter with his command as well as his complete inability to hold runners. He makes Alec Hansen look like Mark Buehrle.

purely speculation, but between Eloy/Kopech/Rodon, Eloy is far and away the guy I could see signing a long-term extension with the WSox.

I could see the Phillies going after him. Can't see the Cubs going after him, as it would be a big downfall to their defense.

Someone in trade winds mentioned if anyone would trade Collins, Rutherford and Adams for Realmuto. I'm sure the Marlins would want way more, but I hope Hahn would say yes before Marlins GM put down the drugs.

Yep so far it's been poor development and/or scouting of some of the guys who were expected to be key contributors. Really need Yoan to be actually good and one of Giolito/Lopez to be reliable. -

funny how Cubs fans on twitter thought it was Amaya and not Ayala. As for Giambrone, he's the 30th best prospect in one of the worst systems in baseball, yet their fans thought he was headlining a mega deal.

What did people expect to happen when Soria got traded and there was absolutely nothing on the big league roster in terms of a suitable closer replacement? We saw similar bullpen issues immediately after all the pen guys got traded last year.
