Yep his command is atrocious and he needs to find something that will get lefties out. Also would be nice if the overrated, lazy pitching coach would go out to the mound and help him once in a while.
-
Ugh, he’s just batting practice for lefties. Very disappointing performance at the big league level for Cease.
-
From the stretch, Cease seems to be too open and it’s causing him to pull everything. Meanwhile, Cooper sits on his ass.
-
He just misses up on his fastball far too often. It’s not even close enough to get the hitter to offer at it. The Santana slider was perfect.
-
I’m more intrigued at what caused Merkin to post that particular tweet
-
Yep, it’s either 40 games against other September call-ups or a full season 7 years from now when he’s hopefully a superstar.
-
Agreed....also shows how worthless AAA stats are this year
-
Even despite scoring 6 runs against one of the worst pitchers around, the Sox still got an 0 for game from the DH.
-
Because someone asked Hahn what the plan for those guys was
-
-
He’s the one guy who I don’t mind bunting for a hit
-
Why would anyone still want Robert called up this season?
-
Jurado also doesn’t strike out a lot of hitters, which makes bunting even less necessary
-
-
And it just encourages Ricky to continue to do it
-
Welcome back!!

Bunting in the 2nd with Detwiler on the mound.
-
Passan was just on ESPN1000. He said something is seriously wrong if the Sox don’t go after Cole. He did mention the Yanks, Astros and Angels as teams that will be in on him. He thought he would want to go higher than 8/240.
-
That was one of the better pitching performances you will see. Completely dominated the 27 Yankees
-
As soxace will support me with, there’s no reason Engel didn’t steal 2nd in top of the 6th.
-
Cubs supposedly were able to add Castellanos at the deadline due to Ricketts taking into account likely playoff revenue
-
No doubt it’s been a positive year in the majors in terms of development on the field. Just have to keep everyone healthy rest of the way and make some strong moves this offseason.
-
What I don’t get is why isn’t it done yet?
-
I think Padres get him
