  1. Yoan made like 20 errors last year almost entirely on fielding the ball. His throws were fine. Now you give him a more difficult throw while also giving him less of a chance to showcase his range. To add to this, his bat went from the chance to be well above average at 2nd to average at 3rd. Nothing about this potential move seems like a smart decision.
  2. Can’t embed, but unsure if this is a rumor or sourced https://mobile.twitter.com/JohnnyTrujillo1/status/1097526401098493953
  3. Padres doing the same as they brought Caminiti back from the dead for their practice today.
  4. Completely plausible...I think I also just get irritated because Yoan doesn’t seem like he would be a good fit at 3rd.
  5. Which means no Manny, correct?
  6. So why wouldn’t you just keep Yoan at 2nd and Yolmer at 3rd if you thought there was a chance to get Manny? The much more obvious reason is they’re moving Yoan to 3rd for Madrigal to have a spot next season. This was hinted at so much this offseason as to what would happen if they missed on Manny. I don’t see how this news could make people not feel down about their chances to get Machado.
  7. Then they would have kept Yolmer at 3rd and Yoan at 2nd.
  8. Also Yolmer was playing 2nd base today. Enjoy San Diego, Manny.
  9. That’s three practices now, and let’s not forget Hahn was saying his position this season depends on how the offseason goes. The writing is on the wall.
  10. If Padres get Manny, I could see them going after a TOR starter again via trade.
  11. Assumption has always been if no Manny, then Yoan plays 3rd in 2019. If you get Manny, then Yolmer would be backup 3rd baseman.
  12. Yep very telling possibly
  13. He had a post earlier saying Padres are 2nd on his list
  14. What was wrong with it?
  15. Something that S. Gregor said earlier in the offseason could always be true...JR and company don’t view any player as being worth 30 mil a season.
  16. How can you say the men’s EC was mediocre until the end while saying the women’s was fantastic? Seeing a botched move every minute isn’t my idea of fantastic TV.
  17. Didn’t want the Sox in on him anyways. Hope he recovers though. Vaughn with a big start to the season.
  18. And this is why you don’t leave the door open for some owner to get excited about the possibility of adding a superstar and talk himself into spending more than people thought.
  19. So KW was told they have to top this
  20. Hahn is Paxson, KW is Gar in terms of blame
  21. Hahn would have been the one that spent 40 million this offseason on stop-gaps, which is exactly what he said he wouldn’t do. It’s his job to execute the plan.
  22. Don’t worry, some want the Sox to go after Sale despite a million red flags.
  23. Just saw on mlbtraderumors that Padres didn’t seriously contemplating going after Manny until the end of January. That would be another blow that Hahn shouldn’t recover from.
  24. Hahn might as well go be the Assistant GM for the Padres if he strikes out.
  25. Yep seems like they’re trying to get creative. He sure seems to think they are gonna get it done.
