"we're all praying, we're all hoping he comes to the south side"

Yonder also said he's already started training with Abreu. As for Manny, he said it's obviously Manny's decision but he of course will try to push him to the Sox.

FWIW, Yonder was on 670 today and said he's spending Christmas and New Year's with Manny. Yonder is a fantastic interview.

and not that I believe this picture is actually trying to signal anything, but I don't see his friend wearing a Sox hat in any other picture.

He's just trolling...unfortunately this isn't a Luis Robert thing

I think I'd rather they get prospects and hope they fail instead of facing Kluber the next 3 years.

Just wanted to get out of Bailey's contract while giving their 2019 team a chance to compete. I don't love the deal for them, but if they know they're about to get a few premier pitchers locked up in the next few weeks, they could have a pretty damn good roster. The team that should really be pissed is the Pirates. They have no chance in that division.

Time for the Sox to change the narrative, as who says they don't get media coverage?

Yoan you see the tools to absolutely dream about. Giolito looks like someone that would struggle in AAA.

Coop will break 'em

Reds are going to make some more moves it appears, as they're going to try to win. I don't think it's the right move, but they have some talent on that roster. The NL Central is absolutely loaded.

By offering a lot of money

He's a Sox fan, not a national guy. With that said, I came very close to posting that exact tweet earlier and saying I couldn't agree more.

of course, it feels like they're the only organization in baseball that would have not made any changes after they were so bad in so many different categories

what you have to be able to do is develop your own offensive players. The Astros/Cubs/Braves/Indians have done that. We know the Sox are horrendous at this, and last year wasn't very inspiring at the major league level. It's fine though, the staff changes at the big league level will help fix things.

The ironic thing is that a Stanton to Dodgers trade with Yanks then signing Harper makes all the sense in the world, but it will never happen.

If Dodgers run out of room, I wouldn't mind a smaller trade of getting Toles and giving him some at bats in the outfield.

I think it's either Harper or Pollock, and not both for them (unless the end up trading Bellinger)

No

agreed, the fact Manny hasn't chosen means there's at least one thing going on that made him not say yes immediately to the Yankees.

They really should just go all in and get Kluber and Harper, as their window would be the next 2-3 years.

Thought a friend of mine put it best after the trade happened...."if Eloy isn't amazing, the Sox are screwed"

Sometime this decade, Hahn will hopefully get judged on actual results on/off the field instead of talking a good game.
