  1. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 07:11 PM) How is Tilson doing? His prosthetic is coming along nicely
  2. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 08:11 PM) One familiar name in the footprint is first year pitching coach, and former Sox draft pick and local product John Ely. Had no idea he was promoted to the majors and pitched 100 innings in 2012, after a pretty bad year in the minors nonetheless. Good for him that he's now covered with lifetime pension and healthcare coverage, and found a new role back in the organization that drafted him. He's going to climb the ladder big time in this organization

  4. In unrelated discussion, any idea of Great Falls roster
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 03:15 AM) This is a REALLY bad take this early. I don't know what's with you so far this year but you've been overreacting to everything. People on here act like it was the greatest coup in Sox history. One of the things about the current Sox draft philosophy is it's always initially going to look good because they are taking "known" guys that have seemingly high floors. All I said is last year's is overrated as three of the top four have underachieved so far. I still think Collins will be a MLB starter and Burdi can be a contributor as well, but Collins is more behind with the bat than any of us thought. His defense definitely seems to have improved, but I have yet to read any scouting expert claim he is likely to stick at catcher.
  6. Can't wait for the ever exciting cash-in with Corbin on Jinder
  7. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 02:48 AM) I started late, so i'm through 2 matches. Women's MITB was disappointing because of Ellsworth, and the tag match was sloppy and ended on a count out. Come on. Awful WWE, just awful The tease of Ellsworth holding the Briefcase was the most interesting thing involving the women's division in years
  8. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 08:57 PM) That's true. Progress stops after 6 months in the minors. There are what they will be. When you draft guys based on them being polished (Fisher, Collins, Burdi) and see them struggling like this, there's definitely reason for pessimism. Hansen has been great but is beyond ready for a higher level.
  9. Burdi...yuck Last year's draft class is so overrated
  10. And once again, reliever comes in and implodes while allowing inherited runners to score
  11. Good god, move Anderson closer to the plate. Puts weak swings on anything on the outer half
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 08:06 PM) I'm really surprised a good guy like you, a very very smart guy like you is into the rooting for losses thing. Saddens me. You are a brilliant guy and I'm surprised you haven't assessed, like me, the fact the draft is a fricking crapshoot and anything can happen in the draft and tanking is a very very cliche-ish, bad idea. It's the smart thing to do. If the best GM in baseball history thinks tanking is smart, then I'm confident I'm not wrong
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 08:01 PM) Ahh, who really cares...this season is great...I am happy whether we win or lose Rooting for a loss but 1 run vs 3 runs looks a lot better for Shields value
  14. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 08:00 PM) You could just see it coming. I think Stone and Benneti jinxed Shields LOL Yep hars hit balls and pitch count over 80. Had a chance to get him out of there with the lead and positive momentum.
  15. QUOTE (daggins @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 06:57 PM) Defense really screwing over Rey today. 3 errors so far. Knights infield defense has been horrible for a while
  16. Stop moving Anderson up in the order
  17. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 03:22 AM) For the love of god, please do it. Avi for Luke Weaver, straight up. Do it. And that's still asking for too much. Scouts really don't like Weaver. Flaherty is more intriguing
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 03:57 AM) They have won 3 in a row and have an 11 game lead. if they haven't been willing to meet the price for Robertson yet, it looks like it may be a while. They need some bullpen help, no one is saying otherwise, but the huge lead gives them time. Yep we needed mets to win this weekend series in order to put pressure on them to improve
