2017 Cubs Catch-all thread
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 11:33 PM) The problem is the Cardinals and Pirates could catch them first... Let's see if Avila can stay healthy with everyday PT. Cubs schedule is incredibly easy rest of the way after this weekend

Delmonico looks sensational. This lineup could easily be next year's main lineup

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 12:20 AM) I don't see how pitching out of the pen is going to help Fulmer's problems. It would be one thing if he was having control problems but still missing bats, but that's just not the case. His K/BB ratio is comically bad and wasn't much better when he was 22 in AA last year. Bad control and inability to miss bats just isn't a good combo. Maybe I'm biased because I didn't like the pick form day 1, but I have very little hope for Fulmer ever being a quality pitcher in any role. Hopefully he can prove me wrong though. I'm with you here, if he wasn't a high pick, he would be an afterthought in the organization.

Base running is just comically bad

QUOTE (Insp @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 01:01 AM) Who's worse, Omar or Timmy? Omar has a great plan at the plate, he's just very limited in terms of strength. Anderson has the physical tools, just no plan

Eloy good again. Zavala continues to be interesting. Hope to see Burger and Rutherford heat up again

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 01:55 AM) Tim wasn't looking for the hanging slider on 0-1 there So clueless and the body language is just awful. It's like the opposite of Delmonico

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 12:40 AM) He didn't get injured right? They just pulled him to ineffectiveness? Seems like ineffectiveness

Like to see Rutherford start to hit with more authority. ISO actually has gone down since the trade

Sox vs 'Stros
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 02:37 AM) He was doing that stupid thing were he tries to tag from 1st on a deep ball to CF. He should have been at least 2/3 to second and scored easily after the ball bounded 20+ feet away. It was bad baserunning Stone said he was on 1st. With no outs, you're supposed to tag

2018 MLB Draft
There's almost no chance Beer ends up being a projected top 3 pick. Kelenic seems to be making the leap, and given his Sox connections, he seems like the most likely pick 10 months out.

Luis Robert out for at least 7 days
Hurt his ankle today it appears stealing a base. Looks very swollen

8-6 Gamethread: White @ Red
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 6, 2017 -> 08:48 PM) This is almost as bad as the idea that the rebuild was a secret conspiracy to only trade the Drake LaRoche guys. Still no proof, we don't know if the 400 players traded over last year all liked him

8-6 Gamethread: White @ Red
Pretty sad effort outside the second inning. Keep Yoan batting 2nd please. also wouldn't mind Liriano getting a chance, preferably over Hanson.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 6, 2017 -> 08:11 PM) I've always liked him. Guys with his arm and athleticism don't grow on trees. And now he's hitting the ball 425 feet a couple of times a week
