QUOTE (MnSoxFan @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 10:30 PM) Either Hansen does not hold runners well or Zavala has trouble throwing them out. A ton of steals already for the opponent. Can't hold runners on. He's even said he's focusing on the batters.

They run the risk of burning out their effective guys like Romero and Albers while waiting for a closer

Hansen facing a team with boatload of hitting prospects

Wow Timmy...looks so defeated. How about not putting him at leadoff?

At least Ynoa helped get Robert

Haha Smith is channeling his inner-Lew Ford

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 08:43 PM) He looked pretty defeated there. Not sure if that was a strike though, looked inside. 1 for last 23 with 16 k. Rough home stand for the "rebuild" hitters

Davidson having quite the struggle making contact on this home stand

Special defensive effort today...yikes. Wily gets very poor jumps

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 09:12 PM) Someone on the Sox made a bad play and now he is the worst defender to ever put on a uniform. Let's simmer down now To be fair, Anderson leads the majors in errors and Melky has been one of the worst defensive outfielders in baseball since he's been here

Cringe-worthy broadcast moment there about Beltre and Stone. Stick to the game!

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 07:21 PM) The whiffs, the errors, the contract. Joe McEwing has a lot of work to do to keep this guy from becoming Bee Bee Richard. Not worried about the contract with the Sox controlling the options if he busts. What's he's owed for next 6 years isn't crippling at all

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 07:19 PM) who wants to make Sanchez SS, Moncada the 2b and deal Timmy? Or try him in CF where his athleticism plays up

QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 07:18 PM) Agreed on all of this. It's a shame we can't combine TA's natural ability + athleticism with Yolmer's instincts and grace. If that were possibly, well, defensively at least you'd have peak Alexei Ramirez. Hopefully he's able to reach something close to that over the next few years. All the range in the world does nothing if you can't field the ball cleanly and/or make accurate throws

Stone hands...as bad as I've seen

At least his game isn't based on speed

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 12:21 AM) Stars aren't coming to Chicago, this front office is toxic. Won't help with Butler and Gaines (very popular with professional athletes) bashing Gar

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 01:47 AM) Dude, we get it, you don't like Anderson. You don't have to b**** about him every chance you get in game threads I actually like Anderson but it's been refreshing seeing Sanchez make routine plays look routine

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 01:44 AM) Yolmer has such a quick release I don't see his arm being an issue at short. Doesn't it also seem like he's making the routine play look easy, something we haven't seen this year at SS?

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 01:44 AM) Yolmer is wonderful It's all coming together...Yolmer at SS, Moncada at 2b, Anderson to CF

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jul 1, 2017 -> 01:28 AM) Yolmer is a vacuum. Couldn't be more impressed

Steve Stone won broadcaster of the night

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 30, 2017 -> 03:49 AM) But that was in December, when the Nats were less desperate. Now, the asking price on Robertson is higher (mostly due to Washington's struggles) and the potential trade will certainly change. Sox probably willing to cover more if it now

Yolmer looks good at SS. You watching Nats?

From a pure baseball standpoint, that would seem to make Frazier far less available for Q
