  1. These first pitch outs are ridiculous. Is Frazier really going up looking first pitch slider to lead off an inning? If so, that explains why he's sucked so far.
  2. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 08:04 PM) It's really amazing how often they bring in players and all of a sudden they forgot how to hit. Don't know how Stevenson still has a job. Avila is definitely gonna follow in the footsteps of Keppinger and never be heard from again after his Sox career.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 08:03 PM) too soon to blame Steverson? last year historically bad offense... I always need a scapegoat Hell no, he should have NEVER been brought back
  4. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 09:00 PM) This offense is complete garbage. Don't worry, they'll keep rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic hoping Steverson will fix them. I don't blame offensive FA for not signing here,
  5. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:51 PM) Abreu will break out of his slump, but other than that I dont see this getting much better. Eaton, Lawrie and Melky should at least be OK but the rest of it is a walking disaster. Garcia will be gone sooner than later. Avila is washed up. Jackson will be better but by no means he's an offensive stud. There are definitely at bats to be had for a new addition. You forgot Frazier, who will be fine.
  6. 3 offensive players on the roster with positive offensive WAR. Somehow, things keep getting worse offensively.
  7. Todd Steverson will not be using this game for his portfolio for his next job.
  8. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:42 PM) Interesting definition of pitching well. I'd say more like "got insanely lucky". Results were well enough. We know he needs to be lucky to have success.
  9. Should have never challenged him there. He's the one guy in the lineup who doesn't look like he belongs on the Sox.
  10. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:41 PM) There's our Danks! The team currently has so many players that shouldn't be in the majors. Truly amazing their record is what it is.
  11. yep, can't play with fire there. Danks has pitched well enough to keep team in this game.
  12. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 08:35 PM) He doesn't have pinpoint control though. I've seen him miss his spots often. The offense has been terrible, and im not giving Weaver any credit Yep, Melky swung at some change-ups nowhere near the zone last AB. Just doesn't seem like the hitters have a game plan at all against starting pitchers they've seen. They've been much better against relievers.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:17 PM) Who should bat second? Lawrie...it does no use having him getting on base batting 6th if the 7-9 hitters are some of the worst in baseball. Just stack it with Eaton/Lawrie/Abreu/Frazier/Melky and hope for the best
  14. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:14 PM) How much damage has Rollins done in the 2-hole? OPS of .406 vs RHP coming into this game. Absolutely insane that he's batting 2nd.
  15. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:13 PM) This offense is just sad right now. At this point, they just need to acquire another bat. Good luck going to Toronto and Baltimore next week with this offense struggling.
  16. 5 hitters currently in this lineup with .200 or lower average
  17. Jackson has been horrible as well. Moving him up in the order isn't the answer.
  18. Lawrie didn't exactly play that single very well either.
  19. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 08:51 PM) It's an earned run according to ESPN, but that could be wrong. At least he could still get the win. Calm down, not earned.
  20. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 08:47 PM) Great, that run is charged to Sale too. f***ing fantastic. It's not, error on Frazier.
  21. Where's Doug Eddings when you need him
  22. That should be it...another incredible start.
  23. After everything that happened this offseason, it's kind of funny that Desmond and AJackson are a few players tied for next to worse WAR in all of baseball (Aybar is off to an amazing start)
