  1. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 03:54 AM) Hitting .245/.288/.265 with the White Sox Not good, but compared to ADA, he's been playable. If this team was serious about competing, they'd have to acquire an another outfielder.
  2. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 03:29 AM) Not to be a dick, but this guy has no business being on TV. Well, he's improved a lot since he started off last year.
  3. Ya, this approach is a little ridiculous.
  4. Viciedo has been awful batting 4th. With Abreu back, hopefully this is the last game he's hitting clean-up.
  5. Excellent defense by Gordon that inning
  6. 62 at bats since Eaton last walked, which means he hasn't drawn a walk since he returned from the DL. Also, he has one extra base hit during this time, and that was a double on a misplayed fly ball by Alex Gordon.
  7. Anderson putting up some huge numbers of late...awesome to see
  8. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 03:03 AM) I swear Matt Davidson goes 1-5 every single night And seemingly never gets a hit past the 4th inning
  9. Semien could make a heck of a utility player if he can play in the outfield as well. If they think Sanchez or Johnson (or even Beckham) is the 2nd baseman of the future, then it makes sense to get Semien familiar with the utility role.
  10. Hawkins average now below .250. He's making a lot more contact this season, it's just he has no hit tool at all.
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 11:18 PM) Tim Anderson on fire--double. Up to .287. He's putting up some big time numbers of late. Milb.com had a video up the other day of his triple, and he showed some big time speed on it.
  12. At least the two homers Sale has allowed (out of the last 4 hits he's given up) were absolute bombs. With that said, Sale has been simply incredible in his last 4 starts, and I'm not sure we'll ever see a Sox starter perform better than he has in his last 4 starts.
  13. Meanwhile, Appel gave up 10 runs in less than 2 innings last night
  14. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 1, 2014 -> 02:18 AM) Davidson is having an awful year wow. Agreed, maybe the most underachieving top 100 prospect in all of baseball.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 31, 2014 -> 10:19 PM) And they are 1 game under .500 and have been missing major pieces all season. The quicker plan is already happening, why don't you let it unfold before declaring everyone horrible and every move wrong. You have seen progress So far, I'm very satisfied with the progress of the rebuild. This season has gone well, as there have been some big hits on the rebuilding front (Abreu) and some significant misses as well (E. Johnson, M. Davidson so far). I do like the fact that it seems Abreu is already the leader of the team, as well as Sale. It stings Avi wasn't able to show if he would be an impact player, but I love what Gillaspie has shown so far this year. I do agree with marty though that they're going to have to be active in the FA market to acquire some pitching, as they don't have a lot of trade chips left (unless they use Alexei).
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 31, 2014 -> 10:57 PM) No, but it wasn't a one year flip and contend offseason either. All you do is microcriticize every action and reaction this season. Competing for a wild card is gravy this season, but you are fooling yourself if you think they are pushing for a World Series right now They got guys that are MLB ready or close to it. By no means do I think they believed they could compete this year. However, unlike Astros and Cubs rebuild, it seems like the Sox had a much quicker plan in mind.
  17. Rebuilding even further makes no sense due to who was acquired last year/offseason. Hahn's moves were not with some 5 year rebuilding plan
  18. Which average is falling faster, Eaton or Flowers? Too many easy outs in the lineup right now. They have to do something about De Aza.
  19. Pretty similar game to yesterday. Chances early and then shut down late
  20. The Cards aren't trading Craig for Beckham. Wong has been good for them of late as well. If it's the Cubs, it's probably to package him with Shark for a Blue Jays deal.
  21. Eaton has been awful this week. He's not hitting a lot of line drives. Hopefully it's just due to minor soreness.
  22. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 31, 2014 -> 08:27 PM) The pathetic thing about this organization is that if either De Aza or Konerko decided to quit today, they wouldn't have anybody much better to replace them. You mean Andy Wilkins and Jared Mitchell aren't ready?
  23. Beckham has no business batting 2nd vs righties
