Ortiz was the most dangerous hitter Boston had that entire series. He had a lot of long, hard hit outs. I understand why they didn't IBB him there though.

It's possible the Reds might need a 2nd baseman if Phillips' thumb injury is serious. Beckham would be a good fit there. Update: Phillips out 2 months with torn thumb ligament
