  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 03:33 AM) Way to make him work. Only run tonight on a bloop double and seeing-eye single
  2. And look, Flowers with no chance to pull the ball cause of his new ridiculous stance.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 03:28 AM) Any word on Trey Ball's signability? Supposed to be signable, but it seems highly unlikely he falls to them. I still think it will be Gonzalez or Chris Anderson.
  4. It's going to be scary when Danks actually faces the top offenses in the AL.
  5. Haha, 3-0 count and Dunn takes 3 straight fastballs. That definitely deserves a meeting.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:17 AM) Then they better send Santiago down to Charlotte, because making him the last reliever in a bullpen of an 85-90 loss team is unfathomably bad management of an asset. In an article on chicagosports.com, Santiago said he game planned to throw change-ups to Reddick in that AB that led to the bases loaded walkoff walk, but he ended up throwing outside fastballs. Seems like he was throwing Gimenez under the bus.
  7. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:15 AM) I supported the move when it was made. Unfortunately, locking up starting pitching is extremely risky. Agreed all around
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:14 AM) When teams are on this kind of streak....you kind of expect something to go wrong. From the quotes in the papers, it seems the players are all feeling the same way, unfortunately. Don't worry, they'll have meetings
  9. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:13 AM) Danks needs to be back in Charlotte. At least to get that change up down At this point, you might as well let him stay up here and take his lumps and hopefully learn how to retire MLB hitters with his new stuff.
  10. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:11 AM) Do you think his velocity is never coming back? I mean, yeah he's going to suck without his regular stuff (like he has tonight), but is there reason to expect him to never return to his old self? Not arguing, just trying to understand. You're pretty scaring the s*** out of me right now. Isn't the success rate for pitchers regaining their velocity after shoulder surgery pretty terrible? Johan never came close to gaining his velocity back, IIRC.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:09 AM) GAME OVER. That's what happens when your stuff is diminished. We're not even seeing Danks against some of the better hitting teams. This Mariners lineup is freaking awful
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:07 AM) You have to have Buehrle control to pitch like that... Danks' best pitch is the change-up, but when the speed differential's only 7-8 MPH, the margin of error is razor thin. And you definitely can't pitch from behind in the count. The concern with Danks and this style is his command has never been great. He was effectively wild with his fastball up in the zone when he was on.
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 04:03 AM) Danks just doesn't have it He's just awful, but have to hope he learns how to pitch as a control pitcher. Looking like one of the worst contract extensions in Sox history.
  14. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 02:52 AM) Hawk can't even call Beckham's at-bats objectively. Yep, it wasn't the bounce that got him, it was the positioning. Oh well, he hit it hard.
  15. Don't forget, the return of Beckham will solve all the defensive issues on the team. Only took 2 innings for an unearned run.
  16. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 02:42 AM) Consistency is an issue for George. Sometimes he looks like an unstoppable monster that can put it on the floor or burn you from deep. Other times he's a turnover machine that misses shots in bulk. 42% from the field during the season supports that
  17. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 02:45 AM) We're going to need a crooked number to win every game Danks starts if Danks can't throw a fastball over 88 mph
  18. Even on that stop, Flowers didn't get down to block the ball.
  19. What a horrible pitch by Danks there.
  20. Hawk is a huge fan of Saunders, and probably wanted to fight Stoney after Stoney said Saunders is probably a 4th outfielder.
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 02:41 AM) White Sox are going to set an all-time record for passed balls this season... Danks' stuff is just so overwhelming, it's got to be hard to catch him.
  22. Wow Flowers, just wow. Someone better start apartment hunting in Charlotte.
  23. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 03:37 AM) You absolutely know Hawk is thinking this. Sure sounds like Hawk feels losing Eduardo Escobar's energy is what caused 2012 Sox to choke.
  24. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 03:36 AM) Flowers is awesome I have no idea what they're thinking with his current stance.
  25. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 03:35 AM) OH MY GOD WE HAVE A LEAD Too early for Crain?
