9/14 Sox at Twins
QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:20 AM) Walk walk walk.....Swing swing swing swing Lexi & Beck cant be that dumb....right? Alexei might have had the dumbest AB of the season. Even if he made contact in that AB, it would have been hit way foul.

QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:21 AM) Question: Why can't Beckham get around on an 89 mph fastball when he's looking for it? That was an offspeed pitch

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:20 AM) Oh man Beckham could not have gotten an easier pitch to hit Good thing he sat on Wednesday

After all that, only one run. Not quite sure what in the hell Alexei and Beckham were looking for in their AB. This pitcher couldn't come close to throwing a strike with his fastball.

Alexei with just an incredibly selfish, poor AB. He must have thought it was April.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:18 AM) Mr. Patience, lol. Viciedo with both RBI's so far. Alexei, no DOUBLE PLAY, NO DOUBLE PLAY. Still, he's been our best clutch hitter in the 2nd half, all things considered. Alexei is way out in front of this guy

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:06 AM) Fathom, do you think we'll still see an increase in season ticket sales for 2013 if we don't make the playoffs and also didn't keep Peavy, AJ or YOUK around? I have no idea. Probably not a big increase, but also I'd be stunned if season tickets were less going into next year than they were this year. If the Sox don't keep those 3 guys, you'd have to assume they'd bring in some other key parts.

This pitcher has the Sox hitters way off-balanced. Wise batting 3rd has to be over soon.

QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:04 AM) Fat boy at 3rd makes a great diving play to save 2 runs Prince made a fantastic play to save 2 runs in the previous inning

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:00 AM) Looks like Verlander has his mojo back again. That Indians lineup is pure garbage. Maybe 4 Major Leaguers throughout the entire lineup.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 12:39 AM) Way to get the run in Tank. Cleveland threatening. Come on LaPorta, you have been due for like 5 years. So you're saying LaPorta, Carrera and Donald couldn't get the job done??

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 12:15 AM) Nice to see that our band of hackers don't know what constitutes a strike. That was dreadful

With Liriano going tomorrow, this is the type of game that the Sox have to find a way to win.

2012 MLB Catch All thread
Anyone ever watch the weekly show on the NBC Sports Network "Caught Looking"? Fantastic production value, and they gave an amazing stat that Marco Scutaro has made contact (whatever that means) on 94% of pitches in the strike zone.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 04:59 AM) Cutler was bad today but he certainly didn't lose them the game. The Bears will be fine, I actually think they'll end up winning the division. Just have to root for other teams in the division to knock off the Tigers, no wait, I mean Green Bay

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 04:58 AM) he suffers from the same thing steve stone does - overanalyzes and doesnt know that sometimes shoving the abundantly obvious down your throat is not necessary every single play Completely agree

GAME. THREAD. 9/13 Detroit @ White Sox
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 03:56 AM) Big time agreed, no such thing in baseball as momentum(sorry fathom, respect the hell out of you but hate how much you use that word). I use momentum for in-game reasons, not game-to-game. With it being such a long season, it seems there are a lot of games you can win just by not giving the other team reason to think they can comeback in game. I'm all about pitching match-ups for game-to-game stuff.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 04:54 AM) Personally, I think he's outstanding. I like him a lot as a draft analyst. I think he's a better college announcer than an NFL announcer.
