Clarkin to Yanks, I believe

I'm not saying he's going to be a huge home run hitter, but Anderson is a pretty unique player due to the lack of stats to really judge him on.

QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 02:02 AM) Caulfield I think you are overrating Reddick a bit. The guy has a BELOW .300 OBP for his career. Hit 32 HRs last year, but only had 85 RBIs & a .242 average. 2 HRs this season in about 115 ABs. His defense is the only thing good about him IMO. Overrated at the plate. I'd take him over Nestor Molina

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 02:03 AM) Hawkins has the ability to be something closer to a superstar, if everything clicks. With Anderson, he's never going to hit more than 15 homers...so you have to go with Hawkins at #1 unless he completely falls apart and goes down to Kanny. There's still a LOT of time left to play this season and the AFL to re-establish himself. Isn't it a little too early to make any prediction about him?

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 02:57 AM) Depends who's still around. I wouldn't be surprised if they go after a solid college pitching prospect after grabbing the raw toolsy youngin. Maybe a pick a la Erik Johnson. Wahl from Ole Miss would be a nice pick

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 02:56 AM) I hope Flowers isn't calling these dumb pitchers He is

Jeez Q, keep it in the park. Who would have thought the A's would be the big slugging team and the Sox the team that can't hit it over the fence?

So who are you focused on for the Sox 2nd round pick? Anyone in particular?

Hunter Harvey with the quote of "I never really did like school"

Quintana and his bad stamina this year is a concern.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 02:41 AM) Mark Gonzales ‏@MDGonzales 1m Anderson repped by Larry Reynolds, expects to sign soon. Expand Reply Retweet Favorite More No wonder Harold was so happy.

When I saw Stanek pitch vs Wichita St., his fastball was well below what had been advertised. I wonder if those velocity readings scared off teams?

What a bad decision to challenge Reddick

What type of contact did Flowers make on his double?

Someone needs to break it to Ciuffo that there's not a chance in hell David Price will still be with Tampa when Ciuffo makes the majors.

Saw where Mayo said Anderson struggles with offspeed pitch. He'll fit right in!!

It's so frustrating watching Viciedo be overmatched by average RHP.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 02:12 AM) The DOB posted on the live broadcast. Yeah, some site is listing the right DOB but saying he's 22.

Jake, where did you see that Tim Anderson is 19?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 01:00 AM) Buddy Bell sure didn't think so. What he say?

QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 01:57 AM) Yeah, that's why the Sox organization is overflowing with them. I would go as far to say it's an area of strength right now with M. Johnson, Semien, Sanchez and Anderson now.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 12:50 AM) Big crowd tonight. odd Yeah, when I said it was empty, that was before I saw the packed outfield!!

Remember that Laumann said he didn't think the starting pitchers in this draft were anything better than Johnson or Beck.
