  1. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 02:26 AM) I haven't seen most of this game but it appears as if Guthrie actually has some good stuff tonight. I know it's going to be hard to get a legit answer here but has he thrown the ball well today or has it been bad ab's from our hitters? He's pitched great tonight. Command has been perfect. With that said, lots of hitters in the Sox lineup that are just really easy outs right now. Dunn specifically has had atrocious at bats.
  2. QUOTE (Caesar @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 02:24 AM) When we lose this division we can look back on this series as to why. No offense and Ventura resting PK and Rios for no reason. Rios has a bad back, and there are a lot of games you can always look back at as season changers. This series wouldn't even be close to some of the worse losses on the year.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 03:22 AM) This is our last chance here. I don't see us hitting Holland in the 9th. With how Guthrie's thrown and the BS part of the lineup up, I like our chances in the 9th much better. Danks swings like he's just happy to hit the ball. No authority at all, and he needs to stop making weak outs on the first pitch.
  4. Overmatched...KW knows what needs to take place
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 02:19 AM) Reddick bothers me for some reason. Very good player, just annoys me for some reason, can't even tell you why. Ironic, as I'm a huge fan of his personality he showed on MLB Network
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 03:18 AM) In the long run having Quintana strong and ADA healthy trumps a bad one game, overall. I can safely say that without a healthy ADA, this team has no chance to make the postseason. If he's injured, you can't even think about platooning Viciedo, etc.
  7. AJ's defense...yikes
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 03:15 AM) Need some mojo going into this next series A's have been bombing away with the long ball. I still get so frustrating thinking that they got Reddick and more for Bailey.
  9. QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 02:13 AM) Yep. "Right Now" as in the team playing at 9:12 central time against Jeremy Guthrie in Chicago down 2-0 in the 8th inning. Absolutely despise them. What's to like right now? Quintana's performance and that ADA is back healthy
  10. QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 02:12 AM) Pretty sad that this game was over when KC went up 1-0. They had NO chance tonight with that lineup. No matter how awful Guthrie was (and is) YOU KNOW he is going to get DESTROYED in his next start no matter who it is Guthrie's facing The game's not over yet, this team has made a strong comeback in nearly every game the last few months.
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 02:07 AM) AAAA, AAA, DFA At this point in his career, a platoon LF; a late inning replacement player; Baseball Tonight analyst
  12. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 02:10 AM) It'll be a damn shame to lose this game. Why, we've been dominated in every aspect (for the second straight night).
  13. Well, we got Viciedo, Danks and Hudson up in the 8th
  14. Man oh man. I can't remember the last time the Sox just got absolutely dominated by a pitcher with this bad of a season going.
  15. Why trade him though with all the uncertainty with guys like Sale and Danks?
  16. Thankfully we have him batting there instead of AJ or Rios (when healthy). I love the point someone made recently about 2005 and moving Dye into the 3rd spot.
  17. Invisible bat, shades of '11
  18. Beautiful swing by Beckham there. Time for Dunn to square up one of those fastballs.
  19. Another just sensational at bat for our DH. Hopefully this is his last game on the roster.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 01:42 AM) Um..... It was a joke
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 01:41 AM) Nice job again Jose. Really ought to have bullpen start te 7th, he was really wearing down there. Yep, nice start for him coming off of 8 days off.
  22. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 01:41 AM) Yankees hold onto the lead, but I don't see it lasting for very long with the way the Tigers seem to be rolling... Mariano for two?
  23. Big out there for Q. He's pitched well enough to win tonight.
  24. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 01:38 AM) 8-7... Why did they pull CC? Amazing how much confidence the Tigers are playing with these days.
