A's have a ton of lefties in the lineup, so it could set up well for Downs.

Tigers lead 2-1. Griffin on his way to his worst start in his career. Not quite sure how his ERA is so good with the stuff he features.

Scherzer getting an insane amount of swing and misses so far.

Mother Nature, thank you for last Thursday!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 09:57 PM) Does anyone have a count on "Games Myers has finished"? 6 away, I believe

If you go with the righty, you likely get Dirks and Avila instead of Garcia/Laird. Let Myers go to the mound, and if they bring in Dirks, then bring in Thornton.

So they only estimated Viciedo's homer as going 15 feet farther than Mauer's?

Wow, that was impressive!!

DUNN!!

Great job keeping the lead. Let's get some more runs though!

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 07:31 PM) Well, there goes that lead. At least he's a fighter, right? I'm so not used to Gardenhire not bunting in that situation.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 07:27 PM) Ball is carrying VERY well today. Mauer OPPO shot over Viciedo AND the wall at 377 mark makes it 1-0. Seems even though he doesn't homer as much as his MVP year or in the new stadium, he always kills us. Center cut fastball in his happy zone. Peavy's almost matched his total for HR allowed in the first half during the second half in 47 less innings.

Indians defense gives Tigers an early run. 2-0 Tigers in the 1st now

Credit to Ventura for not "sticking with the closer" after Reed got in trouble.

THORNTON!

1-0 pitch was a strike

Just keep Plouffe in the park

Huge DP!

Why isn't this Veal here?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) Reed sucks. Yes he does. ERA could be over 5 after today.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 03:55 AM) Only 3 hits for the Twins on the night. Never had more than one man on base in any inning

I don't think Jose Lopez has ever homered to the opposite field according to his HR log.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:37 AM) He's been a s***ty reliever for nearly 10 years. And then this happens. His control of that power change-up has been unreal this year.

Viciedo showing great signs of picking up the ball well tonight!
