  1. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 10:35 PM) So you mean you weren't joking the first several times you posted this??? Ozzie wears number 13. So they named the thirteen game package the "Ozzie Plan". People paid for thirteen games. They get thirteen games. No bait and switch involved. That said, you really are kidding around, right??? He's not
  2. Tampa didn't get rid of Jackson due to talent according to some. It was more about off the field stuff.
  3. Good stuff. You forgot Danks. Gordon should be higher than Morel. Lillibridge should be way higher
  4. I'm gonna go do something more productive. Have a nice ASB everyone, be safe and have fun
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 07:29 PM) Rios is tradeable in my opinion-might not get much in return but maybe somebody could use him Absolutely not, no one is taking on that contract. Our own scouts think he stinks now.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 07:29 PM) f*** it! Go Twins! Something needs to happen and like right f***ing now. Today's the worst it's been.
  7. Peavy's pitching with a ton of passion today
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 07:27 PM) Rios goes back on the ball, and then throws it poorly. Good god..... I'm convinced Rios will be out of baseball while he's still under contract. Absolutely terrible player. Screw you summer of 2009
  9. Terrible jump and terrible throw by Rios. Do something Ozzie and pull him off the field!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Wow, tagging up on a fly out that doesn't even get to the warning track? Holy cow is this team lackidasical today.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 07:24 PM) Peavy's had that 95 MPH fastball at least 2 times this season. There's just no other choice but to be patient....and hope that it comes back. What else can do they do? We are 8-2 in his starts, although it feels like the same stat when Danny Wright or James Baldwin had good records but didn't pitch all that well. From everything that you read, it's a gradual process where he's not expected to be 100% again for another 3-6 months at least. And there's just no way that relief outing helped any. For starters, stop using him like he's Terry Mulholland and has a rubber arm.
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) I can't remember the last time he hit anything to LF, and I remember that he used to hit many bombs that direction with AZ and WAS. Something that's gone under the radar is how bad the ball is coming off of his bat. He hit a few balls decently Friday and Saturday, and there was no pop in his bat. Sounds weird, but I was surprised that his homer off of Blackburn only went as far as it did.
  13. I posted this in the Sox catch-all thread the other day, but Peavy said his arm feels fatigued right now. Ozzie really needs to be more cautious with him during the 2nd half of the year.
  14. I can't remember last time Dunn hit a routine single.
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 07:18 PM) http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playe...ion=P#pitchtype Not a huge difference. I see a 2 mph dropoff prior to injury?
  16. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 08:15 PM) yeah, the guy who's coming off an unprecedented injury. It's not like he was throwing his normal velocity prior to the injury either though.
  17. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 08:14 PM) Peavy has looked like a very ordinary pitcher since coming over. Fastball around 90, sporadic off speed stuff...has been very inconsistent. Definitely mysterious what happened to his stuff.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 08:11 PM) I think at this point it's safe to say Peavy is at least a semi bi-product of Petco Park. I will safely say he'll never be an above average pitcher again. That starters ERA well over 5 this year continues to be the most underrated struggle of our season. Pretty sure he has 2 quality starts all year. But hey, HE'S A LEADER! J4L, I just realized my two least favorite players on the team are Peavy and Rios.
  19. Get ready to pull him Ozzie! You should have a full bullpen, and it's beyond obvious he has nothing...anymore. That relief outing has just killed his arm.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 07:08 PM) What pisses me off more than anything is that their piece of s*** hitters like Butera actually contribute. While ours don't do jack s***. Looks like he was sitting on an offspeed pitch. Just amazes me how Peavy of 2006 would have just gassed these hitters above the belt.
  21. Ugh, he's just flipping the ball up to the plate. No bite, no nothing. Back-up catchers are owning Peavy this week.
  22. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 06:45 PM) And a terrible swing on a terrible pitch, a high hanger that he managed to jam himself on. At this point, he's simply a brutally inept, chronically joyless baseball player. Hate watching him "play." I'm not exaggerating when I say he's had the worst at bats the last few weeks I've ever seen a hitter have for the White Sox. It's not like he's swinging and missing. Rather, he just hits the ball with so little authority.
  23. 1st and 3rd, no outs. Peavy clearly doesn't have anything on his fastball, as he's throwing a ton of change-ups.
