QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 09:42 PM) Nah, mine shrunk so bad after 1 wash that I havent been able to wear it. Plus, he's proven to be a supreme douche since his graduation. How so?

Colby Rasmus Trade Rumor
If Sale's future in the majors is as a reliever, that's ok. However, they need to give him a shot at starting to see if he can do it. Anything else would just be symbolic of the short-sighted nature of this organization.

Official Squared Circle Thread
Well, that was rushed. If that's all for his "contract is up" angle, then what a crock.

Tigers @ Sox 7/25/11 Gamethread
Dunn and Rios doing a great job since the ASB. Ozzie bunting was pathetic as well. The crowd here hates Rios

Yankees scouting Edwin
Give me Jackson over Kuroda, but oh well. I wouldn't count out Red Sox possibly going after Jackson.

Pena done for 2011
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 09:47 PM) When healthy Tony P was a versatile pitcher and effective. But, you could see earlier this year he was hurting. I don't expect him back in 2012 either healthy or nor Do you ever say anyone was bad?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 08:41 PM) And by stroke of luck, we have "ready made" replacements for each of them. Yep, if we lose tonight's game, then root for a Tigers sweep (with Peavy going against Verlander, I don't think we really have to "hope" for a Sox loss). I'm happy to hear that KW is scouting the systems of Yanks, Phillies and Red Sox. Phillies and Yankees really seem to be the best fits for possible trades, with Quentin going to Phillies and Jackson/lefty reliever to Yankees.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) If the Sox can move TCQ, Jackson, and Thornton, that is $20 million in contracts gone, or about $8million this year. If they get back some quality kids in the process, they have just rebuilt on the fly again. The market has opened up perfectly for KW to make a killing with Jackson, Thornton and Quentin. The three most in-demand positions with fewest number of legitimate good players are starting pitching, lefty relief and power hitting outfielders.

Should have left Sale in to face Santana, but Santos has a job to do anyways.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 07:52 PM) No he didn't. He can't hit lefties and he should be pulled from the game for defensive purposes anyway. And lefties were hitting like .120 against Sipp coming into the game.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 07:50 PM) We really do have three just outstanding setup men right now. Although, ESPN says we need another. Indeed, tons of confidence in those guys right now.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) Why not? Who did yu want to pinch hit? The pinch hitter would have made an out as well. This team as you know, cannot hit. Seriously, stop

Adam Dunn Articles and Quotes thread
Dunn has a reputation for being one of the nicest guys in baseball. If the veterans in the locker room have an issue with him (like they did Swisher, Cabrera, etc), then it's time those guys leave.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 07:08 PM) GMAB man, the Cardinals have been thought have a bottom of the league system almost every year. They occasionally pull out a couple of pieces but then they're gone before they get to the big leagues, a-la the Mulder trade or the Holliday trade. Except for now they have two of the top ten prospects in baseball, so hopefully the pan out for the Cardinals.
