  1. Definitely one of those 50/50 games. I'm still pissed at Ozzie for pitching to Cabrera, but I know he'll never change his stubborness. VMart goes into the same category at Matt Stairs, I guess.
  2. Problem with Dunn is he's late on the fastball and too early on the change-up. I don't know if I've ever seen a hitter more "in between"
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:25 AM) Valverde's got nothing come on Beckham. He has a fastball, that's all you need. Beckham looks better, but he still has slider-speed bat speed.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:22 AM) He's always done that, that's what's separated him from being a constantly dominant reliever. He'd probably be a closer if he didn't do that. Yet he never hung that pitch to Konerko last year. Cabrera's also far too smart of a hitter to throw the same pitch 4 times to.
  5. Great short swing by Lillibridge. Valverde doesn't appear to have anything
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:18 AM) Fixed. I do agree Crain's hanging far too many sliders this year.
  7. Good job Rios. Tie this game up Lillibridge
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:17 AM) Seriously fathom, you're in on this too? You're just going after him to attack here. Hell no...maybe it was fate making my internet not working so I couldn't yell WALK HIM, but Cabrera's just too damn good of a hitter to face there.
  9. QUOTE (Real @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:15 AM) yeah, he's been horrible this year gmafb He's struggled at times getting the 3rd out of the inning. His problem is he's turning into Mike Jackson against righties. He has to keep hitters honest with his fastball.
  10. Dear White Sox organization: Victor Martinez is a good player, but he's not one of the best hitters on the planet. Ozzie, have fun explaining that decision on your next job interview.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:38 AM) That's a really difficult angle for them to hit though, especially on offspeed stuff. His problem right now is release point. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he's tipping pitches as well considering how he struggles to find his release point every outing. I thought that too last year, but it seems his arm angle has flattened out and his fastball looks like a balloon to righties.
  12. Sale with a horse shoe up his ass this outing, but we'll take it! How was that not a double play??
  13. With Sale having no command, just bring in Crain if he's going to be bunting.
  14. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:36 AM) Maybe the Sox management agree and that's why is in the pen. And that means that draft pick was pretty disappointing.
  15. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:35 AM) Man, no excuse for the walk there with him down 0-2 No idea why they let him start this inning. It's like Ozzie was more scared of Avila than Jhonny.
  16. I have no clue how Sale's ever going to be a starter. Righties get too good of a look against him.
  17. That second pitch to Dunn was right in his wheel house. He has absolutely no balance at the plate.
  18. Hearing Hawk praise VMart, it makes you wonder just how hard we went after him? Would have been nice to have him instead of Dunn if Dunn's going to start to resemble a pitcher at the plate.
  19. QUOTE (GoGoWhiteSox! @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:18 AM) So tired of watching Rios crouch down real low like he actually has any chance of making any decent contact. 2 of our highest paid our literally holding us back from being an even better team. I still don't understand why they let him keep that bulls*** stance. It's obvious he's not getting enough momentum into his swing, as it's all arms.
