  1. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 02:30 AM) I wasn't paying attention to his velocity. Is he letting it fly? Me neither, and did after reading this. 100 and 99 followed!!
  2. Nice job coming back from first 2 pitches...that breather was good for him.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 02:27 AM) f***in Willie Bloomquist would be the leadoff hitter this inning. Should have had Putz go to the mound, and then Gordon would have batted for Bloomquist likely. Then you bring in Sale. Sale doesn't have any command right now.
  4. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 02:24 AM) My wife is watching the game upstairs, and the TV up there is about 3 seconds ahead of the one I'm watching. I was hoping the screaming was a good thing. Been there...best example was my wife clapping for the infamous Chris Young/Ted Lilly home run about 5 seconds before my HD tv showed it.
  5. Mike Huff sure likes to talk about a player's "stride"
  6. Not the worst thing that could happen, as AJP is swinging the bat better than Manny right now.
  7. Tejada overpowered Konerko with the fastball in that AB. Come on Manny, hit a flare.
  8. Excellent effort there by Alexei! Come on Rios, don't hit into your 97th DP of the season.
  9. I think Mike Huff has been wrong with every prediction he's made tonight.
  10. QUOTE (chisoxt @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 03:07 AM) That is one of Kenny's biggest problems Like overreacting to 3 starts by Hudson?
  11. Can anyone even hear Huff now? Seems like he's just mumbling now.
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 03:04 AM) you know, i'm glad we have one of those GM's who gets even angrier than fans do Sweet...he'll bring in another past-his-prime 2002 All-star hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.
  13. QUOTE (Wanne @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 03:03 AM) f*** me I wish one of these years the media will start to question why does the team fade down the stretch every f***ing season? There's been enough turnover with the personnel that you can't blame specific players.
  14. Haha, awful. Not even coming close to hitting the ball hard. When you consider the terrible announcing tonight, this might be the most annoying game of the season.
  15. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 03:01 AM) I think he is still hurting. Definitely
  16. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 03:00 AM) Putting it in play, I'd say. Plain and simple, Manny has no power left. But I agree with you that the Sox should have just shut up and let him hit the way he wanted to.
  17. BTW, that was a perfect example of Quentin's issues against LHP. Great pitch to hit, timed it well, but couldn't get anything into the swing. Greg Walker really sucks at his job.
  18. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 02:57 AM) For the second straight game, I'm checking midway -- and noticing the same thing. M. Ramirez = 0 hits. Let me say it again: since the papers noted that he had no extra-base hits -- and since Hawk noted that Walker had made some recommendations to help him drive the ball -- he is HITLESS. I think he's 0-13 now, and I'm serious. But you could also say that most of hits were lucky flares that weren't exactly signs he was swinging the bat well.
  19. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 02:57 AM) It would have picked up if we won tonight. 5 games back with 3 to go against the Twins. Not if we don't score. No, it wouldn't have. No one will go on Sunday with the Bears game on. Sox fans have thrown in the towel, which is only fitting cause the team seems to have also.
  20. 28k attendance....not going to make up that 4 million investment in Manny.
  21. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 02:52 AM) The last 4 games this offense is right up there with the worst in the league Unfortunately, this happens far too often in September. Once it cools down and the ball stops jumping, we can't hit the long ball and the entire team seems to go into a slump.
  22. Haha, no power anymore. Buehrle better not be pitching next inning. No reason to keep killing our starters with high pitch count games when they're struggling.
