  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 02:15 PM) Dont know what you were seeing. Dallas never made a run near as good as the Spurs did in the 3rd quarter. The Bulls kept it within striking distance and then pounced in the end of the 3rd thru the 4th Dallas went on a huge run to start the 3rd, as I believe there was a 20 point swing in the game from mid 2nd quarter to mid 3rd quarter. Anyways, nice to see C.J. Watson shooting FT at the end, as well as Mark Jackson (I believe it was him) talking about how Dallas should have let Noah catch the ball at the end of the game so they could foul him.
  2. QUOTE (Lillian @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 01:30 PM) Line up vs RHP: CF de Aza 3B Vizquel RF Rios 1B Konerko DH Matsui LF Quentin C A. J. 2B Beckham SS Ramirez Line up vs LHP CF de Aza SS Ramirez RF Rios 1B Konerko DH Matsui LF Quentin C Castro 2B Beckham 3B Morel Holy cow would that team suck. I'm also pretty sure I heard where de Aza is terrible against LHP. I do like the construction of your post in general, just not the players mentioned.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 05:56 AM) Yikes, I dont know about Minny being a sweet 16 contender, they are a good team, but UNC just looked terrible. I think a majority of fans thought their ranking was a bit high and it appears at least for now its fairly true. There's three teams that had super high rankings this season despite their poor seasons last year (UNC, Florida, and Illinois).
  4. Carbon copy of the Spurs game going on in the Bulls game.
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 04:29 AM) I'm going to say the same thing I said last year. Larry Drew is an awful basketball player and as long as he is the starting PG at UNC they are overrated. (Which of course means he will have his only good game of the season against Illinois in a couple of weeks, just like basically his only good game last year was against MSU.) Yep, LDIII is terrible. Marshall is a way better pg than he is.
  6. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 03:25 AM) Ha, you can't ever complain that UNC gets all the calls. They are getting taken to the woodshed by the refs tonight. Not quite sure what Roy was doing tonight. Strickland should have been playing more, and Watts has no business being on the court. Minnesota played good though, as they hit tough 3s whenever the score got tied.
  7. Harrison Barnes doesn't strike me as a future first pick of the NBA draft. This draft class must really suck.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 19, 2010 -> 10:06 PM) fathom, did you have a post deleted recently? I deleted it without being asked due to lack of response, as well as the fact that I wasn't sure if it belonged in this thread.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Nov 19, 2010 -> 06:49 AM) The Bears played great as a whole. Best they've looked this year as a team. It's nice to be sitting at 7-3. Refreshing to see some effective runs and an efficient Cutler. Those 3rd down conversion are huge. And as dominant as the D was, I have no faith in them against Vick. With LB's dropping back in coverage and Maclin/Jackson running deep routes, Vick will have insane amounts of room to run. Marinelli and Lovie have their work cut out for them. Bears are going to need to put pressure on Vick quickly with the front 4 in order to have any success. Urlacher, IMO, always plays best against mobile QBs. It's the deep pass that has me most concerned.
  10. Willingham is a really strong hitter, but his injuries lately are concerning. The Nats seem to value him way too much though, so I can't see them giving him up. Doesn't matter, as last thing KW is looking for is a righty hitting OF.
  11. Derrick Williams the best post player in the country? That guy is phenomenal.
  12. QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Nov 19, 2010 -> 05:31 AM) I'm not a good IL fan, but I don't think they'd be better off without Davis. I think he's actually under-appreciated by most IL fans and the loss of his D and rebounding would offset any offensive gain. I think Griffey might be a better shooter and probably would take fewer bad shots, but I don't think he would board like Davis.... I was under the impression that Davis is terrible on defense?
  13. As a self-proclaimed Illini hater, I have to ask the good Illinois fans on this site a question: wouldn't the Illini be better off if Davis wasn't on the team? Seems like he just slows down the offensive flow due to his mechanical nature, and I've always thought Griffey was a better fit for Weber's style.
  14. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 19, 2010 -> 05:17 AM) and that's the game. Illinois didn't deserve to win. horrible defense, bad offense at times. still a lot of work left. I wish they'd have the killer mentality, cuz the talent is clearly there. Bill Cole hitting some bombs. I love Vitale for calling out Barnes' teams for having no court awareness.
  15. Great bet for tonight was over 4.5 sacks in the game
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 19, 2010 -> 05:06 AM) Lots of faith in Richmond with the game on the line and a lot of upperclassmen in the lineup. Overall, he has looked tenative IMO, but on that last play I think he showed what he is capable of. Still can't tell if he walked on the play (left foot was definitely close), but it was a strong finish at least.
  17. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 19, 2010 -> 06:00 AM) they did not get that shot off before the buzzer went off True, but it's not like they scored on the resulting offensive rebound.
  18. Gould with another huge boot. Nice to get a two possession lead.
  19. Way too much running of the football with Cutler being in a great groove.
  20. Great kick by Gould...he blasted that.
  21. Cutler was lucky that wasn't a safety.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 04:56 PM) I love when people quote career numbers when there's clearly a trend of improving performance as a guy's career has gone on. It works about as well as Bill Gates and I sitting in a room and me declaring "on average, everyone in here is a multi-billionaire!" 69-67-74-72...seems like someone you would project to be around the percentage he's shooting right now. If you're going to suggest he's going to shoot in the high 70s, then we'll have ourselves a superstar.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 04:59 PM) So who is on the floor instead of Watson at that point? I didn't see him on the court against Houston in that situation. It should be Rose, Watson, Korver, Deng, and Noah, with Noah as the last option to get the ball in.
  24. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 04:45 PM) Watching us on offense, one thing I'm not concerned about is our coaching. Thibbs is legit. Yep, definitely better than last season. It will be very interesting to see how they incorporate Boozer into the offense. I really hope he doesn't become the focal point.
