  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:18 PM) If Pierre were to single, that pushes Beckham to 3b and either a ground ball to the right or a fly ball might score him. Pierre probably has a 50/50 shot of hitting a ground ball to the right side even if he were to swing away. All I know is we've bunted a lot with a runner on first and no outs this year, and very rarely has it worked out well.
  2. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Again, how is this ozzie's fault that 2 of the players (and 2 top hitters) failed? I don't understand the logic, its baffling. Was Pierre going yard? We gave up the first out to a pitcher that was struggling mightily. We keep playing for one run when our pitching staff is falling apart. Tony Pena needs to not be put into close games, as he's fallen apart as well.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 10:12 PM) Do you really have that much confidence in Juan Pierre? I have more confidence in Pierre to get a hit right now than anyone on this team.
  4. Ugh, OZZIEBALL! Konerko got a massive hanger, and couldn't do anything with it. Pena's in to blow this game open.
  5. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:08 PM) No its that you can't just pitch Thornton every f***ing inning of every game. Hell, he's been shaky lately anyway. You put wayyyy too much on Ozzie rather than players playing like s***. He's allowed one earned run in almost two months.
  6. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) but wouldnt it had been a double instead of a triple if its played right? Jackson still scores standing up
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) So Fathom, are you pro or against the sacrifice bunt by Pierre we're about to get? 100% against it
  8. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) B ut the bok on A Jones was he couldn't catch up tp the heat anymore but that was at 97=98 MPH and he smashed it to CF. Way to go Jones Low fastball
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) This is where the Jenks implosion kills us. Really, this is the biggest story of the 2nd half
  10. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:04 PM) Yep, Ozzie apparently can never make a correct move and Thornton should be pitching the 7-9 every game. A couple weeks ago it would have been "f***in Ozzie, Putz should be INNNN!!!!!" Yeah, how dare I want one of the best lefty relievers in baseball to face a lefty hitter!
  11. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:03 PM) I know I said earlier in this thread that I don't think Putz should pitch back to back games anymore. After further evaluation, I think we should shut him down until the end of the regular season. If he doesn't get the necessary rest to get his arm strength back, he's no good to us in the playoffs. His arm strength is fine...his command of his splitter is killing us.
  12. Putz with an impressive (assuming we lose) 3 losses in a week
  13. Castro's pitch selection for Jenks and Putz leaves a lot to be desired. Seems to call for way too many fastballs.
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:58 PM) If Putz turns bad too, then we are in some serious f***ing trouble. We can't contend with a bad Jenks, a bad Putz, and a shaky Thornton. I think he's officially turned bad.
  15. HAHA! That was fun bad right there. What a disaster.
  16. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:58 PM) Three games down likely going into our favorite place in the world for a three-game set when we are playing terrible baseball and they are playing amazing baseball. This should be a fun series. With a bullpen in total shambles! Castro fell in love with the fastball to Jackson, when a good splitter in the dirt would have struck him out.
  17. Wow, that was pathetic by Jones. More BRUTAL managing by Ozzie! Seriously, where the heck is Thornton.
  18. Putz command just isn't there. He's way up in the zone with his fastball. Where's Thornton to face Damon?
  19. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) Stoney, if Alexei stays back for the tag, it makes picking that short hop much harder. I am fine with Alexei coming up to pick it, rather than staying back and hoping to snag the short-hop. Totally agree, it was a good play by Alexei.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:52 PM) Close play at 2b. Usually our guy gets called out when it's that close. I want to see the replay. I thought the tag was put on before his other leg hit the base.
  21. Interesting that Toronto has 4 at Minnesota. That ball park will make it difficult for their bombers.
  22. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:50 PM) Hit safely in 7 games before that. Doesn't mean he should ever be allowed to face LHP
  23. Generous strike 3! BTW, Kotsay is now 0-21 against LHP.
