  1. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Nov 20, 2009 -> 05:17 PM) Omar isn't much of a hitter anymore but he can still play SS better than Jayson Nix. Plus he'll be a great guy to keep in the clubhouse and hopefully another IF instructor as well. Great, smart move by Kenny. Just have to make sure we don't play him too much.
  2. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Nov 20, 2009 -> 03:27 PM) Did not know she was dating Jeter. Hate him more now! Yep, supposedly engaged and getting married.
  3. I keep saying this, but the curse of the 2nd year player in Chicago lives on. I don't know if the players get celebrated too much in the offseason and just don't stay in shape, but it's a disturbing trend of late.
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 20, 2009 -> 05:04 AM) It is weird watching Carolina get such terrible guard play. They aren't a legit title contender unless Strickland and Drew get a lot better. Strickland is absolutely awful!
  5. QUOTE (whitesox07champs @ Nov 20, 2009 -> 12:45 AM) Friday night nights had the best episode i have seen yet in the whole series yesterday. Im glad that it does get the recognition in many aspects but its bad that it gets no ratings. The next episode looks incredibly promising and i cant wait. Yep, it was an awesome episode, and you forget how amazingly hot Minka Kelly is until you see her in the preview for next week's episode.
  6. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 08:33 PM) So it's possible we go in with a lineup of: Beckham Kotsay CQ Konerko AJ Rios Ramirez Teahen And then whatever bat KW gets? If he gets one? Man I hope thats some major sandbaggin I know what you're getting at, and I agree...that Rios contract killed our flexibility.
  7. Ho hum, another late lead blown by Ga Tech. Their best chance at a successful season is if they just fire Hewitt now.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 06:28 PM) Dayton up 9 on Georgia Tech at the half. Wish there was somewhere on tv/internet to watch this one. No, you don't want to watch it. GT has 16 turnovers in the first half, including 8 in a row. As my rant stated 10 days ago, I despise Paul Hewitt more than any coach in any sport.
  9. QUOTE (SnB @ Nov 18, 2009 -> 06:48 PM) it was alot of fun watching the illini freshmen last night. It's amazing what happens to an offense when you're not playing 4 on 5 for four straight years.
  10. QUOTE (Nokona @ Nov 18, 2009 -> 03:54 AM) Please, what B&B have been doing with Bears fans this season has been incredible radio. Agreed, last Friday's broadcast was incredible.
  11. Illinois rarely ever plays a true road game out of conference.
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 02:15 AM) Did the guy get fouled on the heave? The camera work I saw was awful. My favorite play was with about 12 minutes left when Perry Stevenson caught a 10 foot jump shot at the rim and no goal-tending called. Then, Wall drives on a one on 4 and three guys block the shot, and they call a shooting foul.
  13. Watch about 3 seconds before Wall's game winner. Maybe the most blatant carry you'll ever see.
  14. San Juan Shootout with a solid field this year with Villanova, Dayton, Ga Tech, Kansas St, Ole Miss.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) Nah, I later realized you were talking about the throw to Kellen Davis, which was an obvious PI. The pick 6 you were referring to was a throw where Hester just waited for the ball instead of going after it and because of it a Niner was able to almost jump the route and take it for six. No, the pick 6 I was referring to was when Cutler tried to force a throw instead of throwing it out of bounds. His hand got hit as he threw it, and the ball floated in the air and ended up falling incomplete.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 07:12 PM) Look at Jay's history, he is not a turnover prone QB. He's a gunslinger that turns it over, but prior to the last 12 or so weeks, he really didn't turn the ball over a whole ton. The problem is, when your are asked to throw 50 times and teams can seat back and wait and still get to the QB you are going to end up throwing a lot more picks (its the nature of the biz). Give him even decent offensive talent and he might just win an MVP. Thats how f***ing good Cutler is. Wasn't he among the league leaders last year in interceptions? Like I said yesterday, I like Cutler a lot (especially compared to Orton), but he's not living up to the hype, plain and simple.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 07:04 PM) Are you f***ing kidding me...that throw was on Hester not coming back to the ball. Cutler made two stupid passes (both picks in the end zone) and lets be honest, the last one he had to force the ball cause time was gone. In theory he should have thrown it away and we get one more play, but his last pick wasn't really the end of the world. No idea what play I was referring to, but I don't think it had to do with a throw to Hester.
  18. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 05:49 AM) No. That's just the point. It doesn't "all" fall on Cutler. But for some folks, none of it falls on Cutler. I GET that Cutler has talent. I GET that he's way down the list of problems. Turner is a dope. Angelo built the worst offensive line in the league. Forte looks slow. And the receivers are inexperienced and not so good. I don't even like Kyle Orton, unlike some wackos who make it all about him. What I'm pointing out is something different -- a very weird excuse-everything-Cutler-does mentality that has started to creep into these discussions about the Bears. He's the quarterback, and he's turned it over a lot. And some of those -- yes -- are his fault. His fault. This is a perfect post, thanks FoN!
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 05:31 AM) as time runs out. With 8 seconds left, he should have launched it as soon as no one was open. Even Matt Millen said that...and I never thought I'd use that as my supporting argument.
  20. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 05:30 AM) The one where Hester fell down? I am sure he misses the line he had in Denver. And the receivers who actually can get open and run routes and catch the ball. Sorry, I meant the one in the end zone. I will say that Cutler is amazing at escaping pressure in the pocket.
  21. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 05:28 AM) Note: That last pass was forced because no one was open and time was about to run out. On those plays, if no one is open, you have to launch it out of back of the end zone.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 05:27 AM) The screen was the biggest play of the night. They're referring to the WR screens. You're right, the RB screen worked better tonight than ever.
  23. It sucks cause I really like Cutler, I hated Orton...yet I can't stand Cutler's decision making and thought his body language after the first pick was disgusting.
