  1. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 03:35 AM) Yet Walker is supposed to be the problem. Which is it? There needs to be a new voice and viewpoint with these hitters. Walker is like Ron Turner to the Bears. I don't think people will realize just how bad they were at their job until we see how even a serviceable coach could do with the talent on the field.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 03:19 AM) C'mon, guys. This season didn't go down the toilet because we didn't have Juan Uribe. Just as 2006 didn't fall apart because we didn't have Rowand. Let's not b**** just to b****. No one admits this just isn't a very good team, and the only position players that overachieved this year were Pods and AJP. The Rios claim is such a disaster in that it's likely going to make it a lot harder to upgrade spots where we're lacking next year.
  3. If it takes being shut out every game the rest of the way in order to get Walker fired, then hopefully we don't score another run the rest of this year!
  4. Great win and effort by Cutler. Reed's face at the end was priceless.
  5. Payne with some great awareness on that 3rd down play...not! This is like the Sox. Not only are they mediocre, but boring as hell with coaches that need to go.
  6. Ron Turner is an absolute joke. Cutler's ability is a waste in this system.
  7. it's amazing how bad K. Payne is at the game of football.
  8. Mark Anderson with a momentum-changing personal foul.
  9. Haha, how does anyone besides Cooper still have a job on this coaching staff? Between the absolutely pathetic effort by the team during the 2nd half and his kids tweeting, Ozzie sure thank his stars he still has a job.
  10. This Bears team is pretty awful. Ron Turner and Greg Walker are the two most worthless coaches in Chicago.
  11. Still watching, and can't wait to see Dye let go this offseason. He's had a hell of a run here, but he has nothing left in the tank.
  12. Our offense is just awesome on Sundays!
  13. Jenks had allowed 13 homers in his career coming into this year, and is at 9 for this season.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 18, 2009 -> 01:08 AM) Seriously Bobby? I remember when Jenks was one of the hardest pitchers in baseball to hit a home run against. Now, he's given up more homers than just about any reliever not named Kevin Gregg.
  15. If games like this convince the Sox to not bring Jenks back, then it's well worth it. His stuff isn't even close to what it used to be. His fastball is down 4 mph from where it was a few years ago, and his curve isn't even 50 pct of what it used to be.
  16. QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 10:32 PM) That is a great point. I would love if we took the money Dye is making, and put it to sign Figgins. I'm also thankful that if Dye really is hitting the wall and his skills have deteriorated this quickly, at least he did it in the 2nd half this year instead of next season after signing a 2 or 3 year extension.
  17. QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 11:26 PM) Maybe Ozzie can go off on Dye next? Why does he keep on getting a free pass? Cause the organization could care less about him turning it around for next season, since they know he won't be back? If the money we were allocating for Dye goes to Figgins, then I won't be upset.
  18. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 11:21 PM) THANK YOU!!!! my seats are down first base line and my unprofessional eye could see that. I tried to explain it to the people in our area How many weak foul balls has he squibbed down the first base line. If you watch one game, you will hear Hawk say "Rios cues that one foul" probably 2 or 3 times.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 11:21 PM) Rios wasnt a trade. If you consider acquiring Peavy an F, well thats just ridiculous. KW was expecting him to be ready to go by the beginning of this month. He wasn't...I stressed 2009 in my comment for a reason.
  20. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 10:16 PM) Yet the $10M Dye lovefest is allowed to loyally continue. They should make up some injury and say he has had it all year to at least try and get him a decent contract. Dye will get a nice two year deal from Texas to be their DH, don't worry.
  21. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 10:07 PM) Can we stop saying this? I know believing so is convenient because it absolves Rios from being horrendous and Peavy from not pitching in early September, but it's not as if Williams was ignoring 2009. Awesome line...KW for 2009 gets a big fat F for his trades. At least his non-roster FA signings in Pods and Garcia were excellent.
  22. It's so obvious. He's pulling off the ball and not using his legs. Thus, even when he hits the ball good, it's off the end of the bat because the barrel of the bat is already through the zone.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 09:59 PM) Huh? Isn't Nix top 20 in the AL in home runs per AB?
