12:05 (CSN, TBS) Sox @ Yanks
QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ May 2, 2010 -> 05:57 PM) I never thought I'd see him look this BAD....ever Right now I am doubting that he's going to get it back together again this year It's a long season, but he wouldn't be the first Sox player to have a strong first year and then fall on their face (Caruso, Fields, and even Quentin). It's more of a rule of thumb instead of a freak happening so far.

Why are we having our pitcher bat in the 2nd spot? I don't know what the hell has happened to Beckham, but he looks like he needs to go back to the minors.

Pierre better be in motion here.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 2, 2010 -> 06:48 PM) Can anyone theorize as to what happened to Carlos' defensive abilities, particularly as everyone thought he'd be more comfortable in his more natural RF position? Injuries can't be the only excuse...can they? He just never was good out there.

7 straight Sox hitters retired. Need to get something going, as Yankees always hit Buehrle hard.

Wow, Konerko's been really bad defensively this season. That's absolutely a play that should be made. Cheap run for Yankees.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 2, 2010 -> 06:39 PM) Not too many guys put up 120+ k's with limitless power like Teahen does. Don't forget horrible defense at a power position.
-
12:05 (CSN, TBS) Sox @ Yanks
Swing the bat guys! Teahen is becoming Pods-esque with all the strikeouts looking.

How many homers did Teahen hit to right field last season? He seems to really struggle pulling the ball.

Nobody grounds out to 2nd like Mark Kotsay
QUOTE (bmags @ May 2, 2010 -> 05:27 PM) Kotsay is? No, but we know he won't be starting all too often for the Sox, so that would require Ozzie to use someone like Rios maybe.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 2, 2010 -> 06:28 PM) I am so exstatic that the location of my college does not allow me to see White Sox games on Comcast Sports Net or WGN, but still close enough for TBS to be blacked out for this game! Woo!! Where do you go?

I'd rather Kotsay lead off than Ramirez, as Alexei isn't a long-term solution.

Awesome, two different strike zones already.

Beckham is just so lost at the plate.

That's a record, it took Hawk one pitch to complain about the umpire. I'd much rather the ump have a bigger zone, as opposed to yesterday's.

A. Gonzalez Update 5/3
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2010 -> 04:50 PM) If there hadn't have been a personal attack involved in this, I would agree with you. That changes things completely for me. It is a legitimate talking point now. I thought things with him were resolved?

A. Gonzalez Update 5/3
Can we try to keep this thread more about the trade rumor than bashing Cowley?

The Teahen's D At Third thread
Teahen doesn't look comfortable at third. His footwork is really bad, and he seems slow in his decision-making. I'm not comfortable with him being the 3rd baseman for the next three seasons.

VERY NICE! Great location by Jenks that inning, and I'm just happy the 4 hours weren't wasted.

12:05pm (CSN) - Sox @ Yanks
Damn, seems to be a pattern with Jenks. That was a sick piece of hitting by ARod.

One more Jenks!

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 1, 2010 -> 08:51 PM) And is thankfully no longer on this roster. I agree with both you and ss2k. I also thought he was immature about some of the Cabrera stuff.

Logan throwing 97 mph!! Teahen's really looking bad against LHP, might as well make that a platoon with Nix.

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 1, 2010 -> 09:48 PM) Yeah, those are coming from us though...our speculation is irrelevant for the most part. I'm glad the egos in that dugout aren't as fragile as the posters in this game thread seem to think....we are the ones that s*** our pants when we give up the lead...they've been battling back themselves a lot lately... Jermaine did admit last year that Rios joining the team hurt him mentally.
