  1. Wow, he walks the #9 hitter. Pick him off, and keep the other accomplishment going. Oh, and I thought Casilla swung on that 1-2 check swing.
  2. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:41 AM) I thought that wasn't an "error"? Nope, they give a defender an error for a dropped foul pop.
  3. If a player drops a ball in foul territory for an error, would that eliminate a perfect game?
  4. Ugh, the dreaded "there it is "X", go hold them". I can't remember the last time we won after Hawk said that.
  5. Wow, someone remind Ozzie to bench Konerko next time we face Baker.
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 01:35 AM) Paulie, ouch. Just have to laugh at that.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:02 AM) How come our power guys still don't know that against the Twins, you're going to get an offspeed pitch on 3-2? It's been happening for a decade now. Like I said
  8. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:30 AM) This obviously means that his 14 straight no-hit innings is also a record, correct? No, there's been 2 no-hitters in a row.
  9. This is one of the more pathetic offensive performances by the Sox this year. Their swings are painfully slow, and instead of squaring up good pitches are just fouling them off.
  10. Can we score some mother f***ing runs so we can just root for the other stuff also!!
  11. This Cubs/Astros game is a joke. W. Wright can't throw a strike, as he's walking the world in the 4th.
  12. Congrats Buehrle!!! Alexei was this close to being a huge goat.
  13. So let me ask this question: who on our team would Kotsay actually PH for? With Fields on his way out, it really diminishes the need for a lefty on the bench.
  14. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:20 AM) STOP SWINGING ON 3-1 WISE!!!! The funny thing is that if Thome's hurt and Fields is traded tonight, we might see Wise start against Liriano tomorrow. He really is OMIT.
  15. Wise swings at ball four for the second time tonight.
  16. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:17 AM) great time for the O to go hibernating Happens every year around this time. The legs start to get tired, but the swings continue to be long.
  17. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 01:15 AM) That was fair as ever. Easily, considering it was hit by a lefty.
  18. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 01:23 AM) Do people seriously not realize we will have ZERO lefties in the pen for the next few days? Thornton will be back tomorrow.
  19. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 01:08 AM) Please, he is not killing this team. Lots of players are killing this team. No, he's killing the flow of this lineup. The 7-8-9 was doing wonders and really sparking this team, but now it seems with CQ as an automatic out in the 7 spot, there's been a lot less flow. However, you keep playing him no matter what, I think we'll agree on that.
  20. QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:07 AM) Do we like the Kotsay trade a little bit more if Carlos fails to find his groove? No, cause most people say Kotsay's back is so bad that he's a washed-up defensive player in the outfield now.
  21. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:06 AM) Carlos is pulling his head out. He's just swinging up there with really no plan. He's killing this team right now. I love him, but he's got to start producing.
  22. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:03 AM) Fixed, maybe. They better find out how serious Thome's injury is. If it's anything serious, they have got to trade for another offensive player.
  23. How come our power guys still don't know that against the Twins, you're going to get an offspeed pitch on 3-2? It's been happening for a decade now.
  24. Only seen 4 hitters tonight, but looks like a lethargic effort again from our hitters. Ozzie has got to shake up the lineup.
