  1. Instead of watching the pitch, just watch how far off to the right Danks is falling off. He's almost ending up off of my screen.
  2. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 01:31 AM) Has anyone seen someone start a game with 4 STRAIGHT WALKS? I have never seen that before in 25 yrs of watching baseball... Catfish never did that
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 01:31 AM) Danks is no where near the plate right now. This release point is all over the place. And you could see him get visible frustrated when he was throwing pitches to Span right down the plate called a ball.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 01:30 AM) Its the typical White Sox Metrodome performance. Disgusting really. I think the team should meet with a Sports shrink before they go back at the end of the month. And just another reason why the standings are so deceiving right now, as our schedule is impossible in the 2nd half.
  5. Wow, this is amazing. Seriously, keep his ass on the field.
  6. Wow, leave Danks in and let him die Ozzie. If he wants to pitch this heartless, make his ERA suffer. No reason to destroy Carrasco's arm.
  7. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 01:27 AM) If they're gonna have a Defeatist attitude coming in, why not just f***ing forfeit the f***ing games? I mean seriously, grow up.... It pisses me off that we didn't go for the kill vs Cleveland yesterday and instead altered the rotation for this wknd.
  8. Ozzie needs to get tossed. This strike zone is a joke. Some of these sliders are crossing the plate.
  9. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 01:25 AM) I am just assuming we will be .500 at the all-star break. With the Tigers playing Cleveland, you'd be looking at 5.5 out at the ASB, and should be looking to sell then. The Dodgers are looking for relievers according to their GM.
  10. Hawk and Stone sure seem to be ripping on Danks mental mind set so far tonight.
  11. Is Stoney watching the same game we are? These pitches have all been pretty close.
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 12:20 AM) Fantastic start. 8 more games here after this game...it's going to be so much fun!
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 01:19 AM) I am already frustrated. I f***ing hate the Twins and the stupid Dome. Especially with this freaking umpire.
  14. QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 12:11 AM) Keep in mind that we would only get 1 full season out of Halladay... Then we'd have to outbid the RedSox and Yankees to keep him. It just makes no sense for the Sox to trade for Halladay especially with the offensive departures we're likely to have after this year.
  15. You have to be kidding me about this strike zone.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 09:53 PM) There's some decisions to be made clearly, but how many teams don't get a bunch of outings like this out of their 5th starter every year? Not as bad as this one, but Richard hasn't been giving this team a good chance to win for well over a month now. I'm pretty sure his starting ERA is something like 7 now. Clearly, it's not working out with him as a starter.
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 10:50 PM) If this was a blowout, I'm sure Ozzie would of had a big old tirade. What is it with Chicago fans and thinking that their managers are going to have big tirades on a daily basis? If the players on the team need a tirade after being with Ozzie for 5 years now, then they don't deserve to win.
  18. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 10:50 PM) We did a great job of coming back today. But we need to start to chip away at the bullpen later in games. Even with our poor start, this was winnable. Yep, don't always have to get the 3 run homer to change the momentum in the game. Hard to be upset with the offense today though. At least Ozzie will stop saying Carrasco is the MVP of this team.
  19. Not many times you lose when your leadoff hitter gets 6 at bats in a 9 inning game. We have a huge issue with our #5 starting pitcher, and that's where KW needs to make some big decisions.
  20. Getz with just a hell of a day. Two chances to tie it hopefully. Where's D. Lee when you need him?
  21. We've made a ridiculous number of outs on 3-2 pitches today. Just one of those games.
  22. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) Thanks Ozzie for starting Richard on short rest. Just an absolutely idiotic decision coming off of the start in KC where he ran out of gas. We treat him like he's a 20 year veteran with a rubber arm, when really his most success is pitching like a power lefty.
  23. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 10:24 PM) What is the Sox record when trailing after 6 innings. That tells you all you need to know about the Sox ability to hit bullpen pitching. We started off the year struggling vs starting pitching but hitting the bullpen hard. It's completely changed since mid-May.
  24. Never would have thought the Indians bullpen could shut us down the way this game was going.
