  1. Lillibridge first pitch swinging. Hit it well, but he'd need an aluminum bat to hit an opposite field homer.
  2. Didn't know that lefties are hitting almost 140 pts better against Padilla than righties. At least Betemit is in.
  3. So yeah, there's been no homers in the first 2 games of this series. One of the oddest stats of the year with these two teams playing each other.
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 10, 2009 -> 05:09 PM) Anyone up for explaining Lillibridge over Kroeger? We just calling it, "an Ozzie being Ozzie?" Trying to show the fans a return on the Javy trade.
  5. Is Corky becoming Colon's personal catcher? His two best games on the mound have been with Corky behind the plate.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 10, 2009 -> 05:05 PM) I'm on the Alexei to CF bandwagon. Yep, it's disgusting that Alexei's not in CF today and Nix isn't at SS with Pods out. I can't believe Ozzie continues to favor playing Lillibridge over any possible alternatives.
  7. The Lillibridge curse continues. What an awful lineup with Lillibridge and Miller facing righties. At least Betemit has been freed.
  8. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 10, 2009 -> 03:54 PM) I dont either, but I would like it to go the other way as well. Greinke WAS headhunting with Alexei the other day, after routinely hitting the Sox this year, an the guy doesnt get one word of warning. Agree 100 pct with this. I still can't get over Jenks doing that intentionally. It's awesome, and I like that he's not denying it.
  9. BTW, Bobby Jenks is a f***ing stud though to have the balls to send a message like that in that situation.
  10. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 10, 2009 -> 01:59 PM) agreed, bobby had a little bit of double talk going on there. I still think its ridiculous that the Sox get hit so much that they have to b**** about it in the papers, yet no ump ever warned an opposing pitcher against the Sox, yet the Sox throw behind 1 batter and the ump comes flying out to warn Jenks. I don't blame the umps one bit for warning Jenks. It was obvious he was trying to send a message, and know he even admitted it. Last night, Getz got hit with a slow curve and CQ got hit in the 8th in a big situation where Millwood wasn't trying to hit him.
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 10, 2009 -> 01:00 PM) Boy for being such a "loveable" franchise, the Cubs sure have assembled an impressive list of assholes on their roster. Not a lot of likeable players on that team anymore. I've been saying that for a while. Theriot seems like a good guy, as he seems like someone who Mark Buehrle who should have never made the Majors with their skill set but have worked hard and just outsmart the opposition. D. Lee, on the other hand, is one of the biggest whiners in all of baseball.
  12. Justin Timberlake is an amazing SNL host. Happy Mother Lover's Day.
  13. Greinke and the Royals lose, as Saunders throws a shut out. Greinke was terrible tonight.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 9, 2009 -> 08:12 AM) Without question the POY to this point. Hard to imagine anything topping that one. Disagree, Pedroia made a nice backhanded play up the middle in the 14-5 loss.
  15. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ May 10, 2009 -> 04:03 AM) at Jim Hendry for continually dumpster diving for this guy. They're treating him like he's given his whole career for the organization. It's like what KW would do for someone like Jenks in 10 years.
  16. It's broken record time: play Wilson Betemit. Fields has no chance against Padilla's strong fastball.
  17. Chad Fox just hurt his arm again. Probably time for him to go home and be with his family.
  18. Looks like Poreda ran out of gas in the 7th. Still, a promising start.
  19. If there's not a bean ball war tomorrow, I'll be surprised.
  20. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 10, 2009 -> 02:52 AM) Bobby has looked great his last couple outings. Should we fall out of the race, we'd be able to get a haul for him. Big change in his K/9 innings this year, which would only help his value.
  21. Thanks ump for pumping up Jenks. Very nice win...highlight is definitely Danks regaining form.
  22. I'll be honest, even though I know he didn't mean to, that looked intentional as hell.
  23. Stoney's so freaking awesome (though I do cringe when Hawk calls him Stone Pony)
