  1. I rip on AJP for pitch calling, but why would you go away from the sinker with the slowest man in the AL up to bat? PK was never going to hit that sinker in the air.
  2. QUOTE (The Critic @ May 10, 2009 -> 02:37 AM) Why did he slide? Run through the plate like you would 1st base on a grounder, he's not going to tag you. It's unreal how dumb this team can be.
  3. On second look, what the hell was Getz doing? He slid with his feet behind the plate and tried to hit the plate with his hand.
  4. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 10, 2009 -> 02:34 AM) What's the odds we don't score a single run here?? 75 pct...O'Day has dominated our hitters this year.
  5. Here comes the sidearm reliever...all the makings of a 6-4-3
  6. Terrible AB for Thome...he looked like a rookie and Holland the veteran.
  7. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 10, 2009 -> 02:30 AM) Rangers bring their best pitching propsect the the mound. Let's send him back to AAA. Thome hit one 389 11/12 feet against him last time for a double.
  8. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 10, 2009 -> 01:28 AM) ok,this is BS,how many of our guys gotta get hit before we do something about it? They weren't trying to, so I'll take the runner in that situation.
  9. Hell of an AB by Dye. Loaded for Thome...thank you Ron Washington
  10. Really bad managing here by Washington, as O'Day should have been in to face CQ/Dye.
  11. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 10, 2009 -> 01:25 AM) He isnt really a catcher, yet. Right now he wont make it as a catcher in the bigs, he needs to improve ALOT for that to happen, so youre looking at a 1B or DH, and in my mind he has plenty of power to hit 25 or more. Yes, if he's not a catcher, I agree he'll hit over 25 homers.
  12. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 10, 2009 -> 01:22 AM) Really? I thought I remember hearing from JPN that his power is ridiculous. He does have huge power, but you don't see too many catchers in the non-PEDs era hitting over 25 homers.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 10, 2009 -> 02:19 AM) It won't be Tyler Flowers, but he'll give us Thome-like numbers at catcher with less homers and higher batting average. I highly doubt Flowers ever hits over 25 homers in a season.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 10, 2009 -> 02:18 AM) You are going to need a big turnover in the pitching staff to realize your dream I'd rather have a manager who will call from a pitch out once every 3 years, as to possibly give the opposition something to think about.
  15. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 10, 2009 -> 02:16 AM) It's a shame the Sox weren't able to get Edwin Jackson (a lot of people on the board wanted him, including me), he's dominating again. Jackson's numbers last year were troubling, but he's really turned it on this year. The Tigers are getting nothing from Ordonez, but they still look like the cream of the crop in the AL Central. Oh, and Joe Mauer's amazing.
