  1. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ May 8, 2009 -> 03:11 AM) Where's the f***ing celebration?! MARK WAS AWESOME! OFFENSE WAS GREAT in the first inning! Only 8 pages?! Hawks game?
  2. Why is Milwaukee keeping Brad Nelson on their 25 man roster? He's 0-20 this year. Also, Masset's pitching real well for the Reds.
  3. Man, Jenks just hasn't found his curve ball this year. Neither every one he's thrown has been up in the zone.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2009 -> 02:54 AM) Josh really, really shouldn't be hitting #2 right now. How about AJP against RHP?
  5. David Price got roughed up by a terrible offense.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 8, 2009 -> 02:42 AM) Did you know the Sox 2-5 starters have a collective ERA over 6.00? With Fields striking out so much lately, I checked his game log: multiple strike out games in 9 of his last 14
  7. Longest outing for one of our starting pitchers here?
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 8, 2009 -> 02:32 AM) Where's Joey Cora? What happened?
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 8, 2009 -> 02:15 AM) He's getting pretty frustrated. It'd be pretty hilarious to see him go all Buehrle on a space heater. I'd rather he just not hurt himself.
  10. Great stuff with all of this...really appreciate. Trout's scouting report up there has got to give the Sox brass an instant erection. A great resource as the draft gets closer is the video section on minorleaguebaseball.com
  11. QUOTE (rafacosta @ May 8, 2009 -> 01:12 AM) what a s***ty at bat was that one from Quentin...lets be aggressive but not like that. CQ has got to use the whole field, that's when he'll get into a groove again.
  12. Anyone watch "Rules of Engagement"? The character of Jeff is the best comparison to the way myself, and most married men, think/act.
  13. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 8, 2009 -> 01:01 AM) We improved our season total from 4 to 9 first inning runs today. We're no longer in last place. Only second to last. Yep, that was a shock (all with 2 outs also). It was exactly what was needed after the Tuesday game.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2009 -> 01:58 AM) No worries for that Cleveland pitching staff. What do you think Cliff Lee would cost us? The most underrated story last year was that if the Sox didn't get Quentin, Arizona was going to get Cliff Lee for him.
  15. Wow is Russ Ortiz bad. 11 base runners in 2.1 innings. I believe his BB/IP is above 1
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ May 8, 2009 -> 01:57 AM) This is all Ozzies master plan... tell Alexi to slump so he is forced to play Nix at SS where he is turns out to be pretty good(Ozzie knew all along) so you cant move him so to play Alexi he has to go to CF... thus Ozzie accomplishes his master plan of banishing Brian Anderson I'd be all for that plan.
  17. Well, this is sure nice to see after a long ass drive home due to traffic. Also, just noticed that Boston has scored 12 runs in an inning without making an out.
  18. Manny's going to miss 7 games in Chicago during this suspension, as Dodgers have 4 vs Cubs coming up and then 3 against us.
  19. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 7, 2009 -> 10:12 PM) Dewayne Wise took flyballs today. This is going to be interesting. Was he playing too deep and they dropped in front of him? In all honesty, I hope he comes back. We need all the offense we can get from the left side now that Betemit's been deported.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2009 -> 11:15 PM) One can only hope they're running out of big names who'll test positive. Who's a bigger name than Manny? I'm thinking only Pujols, Jeter, Griffey Jr., Ichiro and Feldman.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 7, 2009 -> 10:58 PM) Hitting HR's doesnt mean you did PED's. I dont understand why people associate that with a possible juicer. PED's will allow the body to heal or repair its fibers more easily and quickly. SOME use this for gains in brute strength, SOME can use it just for recovery. Longevity at a very flat performance level says juicer to me just as much as one peak season. Guys playing into their 40's arent really that rare and i know lots of folks that are very athletic to that age, but the sheer numbers of guys that have the same performance from age 26-46 is a red flag to me. You have the two teammates from Arizona's WS run in 2001 that are interesting cases in Luis Gonzalez and Steve Finley. I agree though, I think there's a lot of high-caliber base stealers from the last few decades that are very suspicious.
  22. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 7, 2009 -> 09:49 PM) Ummmmm, not even close. Mr Wrigleyville, Mark Grace I definitely heard it was Dave Martinez that nailed Cindy Sandberg. Also, have heard some fun talk that Palmeiro was having an affair with her, and that's why he was dealt.
