  1. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 09:31 PM) Damn it, 30 feet short. Stop
  2. Wow, the National League is just awful. The Sox could probably go .500 in the NL!!
  3. I look forward to threads on every player that's traded the rest of this year.
  4. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 08:20 PM) Anyone else feel a walk off grand slam by Beckham in the bottom of the 9th? What team is Tim Beckham playing in the minors today?
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 09:19 PM) haha, this is what the game thread has become, eh? yep...know I have to make sure I dont make any grammer or spelling mistake
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 08:17 PM) That's why I hope if Jordan Danks is in the plan for Opening day next year, they get him up in August or so. More I think of it, the more I agree.
  7. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 08:16 PM) Terrible arguement there You're either wanting him fired for the production of the players, or you're not You don't get to shift to another arguement of "Well, he should be gone if we're paying him to do nothing" The only time a fan should want someone fired is if they're hurting the production of the ballclub, not because they're cashing checks for doing nothing Nice spelling
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) Why did I get my hopes up with a White Sox offensive player coming in and producing right away? You really have to wonder about our strength and conditioning program in the minors. All of our guys come up looking like midgets. I know we don't preach PEDs like other organizations might be, but it's still pretty glaring.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 09:14 PM) How come Pods is are best hitter? Nice grammar
  10. Wow...that pitch was very, very low
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 08:12 PM) Striking out everyday he would really feel like part of the team. Striking out is fine, as long as you're also hitting the ball out of the park.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 09:09 PM) Supposedly Buddy Bell said he's major league ready right now. Not until he stops striking out so much. Give him the entire year in the minors, and then see what you have.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 09:05 PM) It is amazing how many people really think the Sox would have a .350 team batting average and score 12 runs a game if they had a different hitting coach. They need to look at the players. That's on KW. All I want is a different point of view given to some of these players. I also don't want a hitting coach who thinks all it takes is one batting practice session to cure all that ails.
  14. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 09:01 PM) Yeah, we'd trade for more Wes Whislers, Sean Tracys, etc. how dare you leave out Jon Adkins
  15. Not a terrible swing by Fields on the 3-2 fastball.
  16. PK has WTP this season. Hopefully it's not a sign of things to come in his career.
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 08:50 PM) I'm not watching today's game, but I'd like to point out DJ's ERA is down to god damn 2.21. He has like the worst stuff in baseball. Someone explain it. Also, make him our 5 starter. He does a great job of changing speeds and angles. He's a virtual waste right now in his role, as he only pitches in blow outs.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 08:49 PM) No hate. I love what he's done with us. Not quite sure how he's figured it out, but he's fit perfectly into his role on the team. Ok, I'm all for ripping on about 90 pct of our guys, but him and Thornton are the two guys that deserve absolutely no criticism this year.
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) Oh DJ, how did Kansas City ever let you get away? Why the hate on DJ?
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) exactly. i would rather watch womens NBA. ACL tears and hyphenated names are fun to watch.
  21. If not for 2005, I'd say 2008 was the luckiest season I had ever seen for a Sox team in the last 20 years. There's nothing wrong with luck, but I think it gave us a lot of false hope with certain players.
  22. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 07:43 PM) Beckham 2B Lexi SS Pods CF Fields 3B for the rest of the year, just leave it alone anyone else with me? Getz and his .600 OPS will be hard to replace.
  23. I can't believe we keep calling up these awful minor leaguers, and they continue to do bad. I can't wait to see what Van Benschoten will do up here.
  24. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 07:42 PM) thank god for mlb.tv. i can watch another game... my lordy. Don't watch NL games...good lord, do those teams suck.
