Latest Starter Linked to Sox in a Roundabout Way: Roy Oswalt
And here is the dumbest thing to ever be said. According to Cubs ass kisser Paul Sullivan (on ESPN 1000), the reason Peavy and Oswalt didn't want to pitch in the AL Central for the Sox is possibly because the other teams in the AL Central play in bland cities (Detroit, Minnesota, Cleveland, KC). Thus, that's why they'd rather play for the Cubs and travel to the beautiful cities of St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Milwaukee.

GameThread: White Sox(24-25) vs Athletics(19-29) 7:11 CSN
QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 09:24 PM) Did it appear that Wise took a bad route to the ball that DeJesus hit for the double. Stone said he had no chance but it looked like he went the wrong way and got turned around. He had no chance on it, but it was also because he was playing DeJesus like he was Daniel Cabrera at the plate.

Derrick Rose's High School Grades Were Altered
No big time program in college athletics is clean. I have good connections to 3 major programs, and I can say with 100 pct certainty that they've broken the rules with either academic issues or illegal benefits.

Latest Starter Linked to Sox in a Roundabout Way: Roy Oswalt
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 03:20 AM) Hey, guys! What do you say we all write an article that Ozzie Guillen ate a baby last night? We won't name names, but i'm sure we must have heard it somewhere, from someone. Obviously, we'd be legitimate to make it into the Trib or on CSN. It sounds like this Ortiz shmuck doesn't want Oswalt to be traded, so he's putting words into his mouth. I heard it's false, as the baby was not interested in coming to Chicago

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 02:29 AM) It wasn't really tagging though, we're not talking about a sac fly. It was apparent pretty early that the ball wasn't going to be caught, so BA should've been waved around and would've scored easily considering the thing went all the way to the warning track. Holding him up is what caused the out (although in fairness to Cox, I'm not sure where exactly Anderson and AJ were standing when the ball went over Guillen's head). Anderson went back to 2nd on contact

White Sox Winner!!!
Cruz did not throw at Alexei to try and hit him or send a message. He was trying to throw the inside fastball to set up the slider. I'm happy Jenks didn't throw at anyone, because I can't see MLB being too kind to him right now.

I agree it was good to try and score there...Jeff Cox is terrible at his job. We dodged a huge bullet win Pods didn't tag but DeJesus couldn't catch the blooper.

I have a feeling KW's going to go nuts in the press and say the whole rumor about going after Oswalt was bogus.

Sorry greg, that was horrible base running by Anderson. With one out, you never, ever plan on tagging unless you're on 3rd base.

What a hell of a play by Hoffman on the catch and throw.

Milton might have had a homer there if the wind wasn't blowing in. With that said, I'd rather he pitch with the wind blowing in.

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 31, 2009 -> 11:47 PM) Makes you wonder why these guys wouldn't want to come here... if they are afraid to pitch in the AL then we don't need those p**** ass b****es anyway. Because these guys know they won't put up as good of numbers in the AL and at the Cell, and they'd be hard pressed to get another big contract when their current one expires.

I thought it was classless of the way the Pirates mascot showed up Charlie Brown when Charlie threw out the first pitch before the Pirates game today.

White Sox Winner!!!
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 12:38 AM) This is as good as I've felt after a win since last October... I hope we get off to a good start and win tomorrow. The A's are throwing a lot of junk against the Sox, and we can have a very good home stand. The Indians had to DL Sizemore, and we'll miss Cliff Lee.

Good to know, as KW doesn't want another public rejection. Here's an idea: don't trade Richard!

Dayan or Beckham at 3rd if Fields can't do it
QUOTE (jimmiething @ May 31, 2009 -> 10:21 PM) Ok first time posting but anyways I think it would be very very bad for the sox to have to call up Beckham to play third base this season. There is now way The Cuban Pimp is ready for the big leagues and in my mind I don't think there is any doubt that Beckham could hold his own right now in the big leagues. That being said, the reason Beckham is so highly reguarded as a prospect is he is such a good hitter for a middle infielder. Now if he plays a good 3rd base and hits how people project him to hit he will be a nice player but by no means a superstar. Going along with this,if Josh loses the job to Beckham, Fields becomes virtually useless to us in trades in that his trade value really has never been as low as it is now. So best case scenario for me, Gordon continues to succeed in the minor leagues and Josh keeps hitting the ball like he has over these past few days. Next year we can hopefully trade Getz of Fields for a good major league ready pitcher or outfield and have Beckham step in and be the savior all of the southside expects him to be. Great post...please post more.

That base running last inning was all on BA. He shouldn't have been tagging, and Fields got caught in no man's land.

That was actually a great play by Nix on a tough hop. I'm not worried about Getz, as that looks like a bruised ass.

Wow...Alexei might miss the upcoming slider by 2 feet, and I won't blame him.
