  1. The Sox farm hand boys are struggling mightily right now.
  2. Kerry Wood meltdown, and the Royals win.
  3. Holy cow, who is this team? Thome's really looking great at the plate.
  4. Hell of a performance by Pineiro tonight. Only need 93 pitches, I believe, to shut out the Cubs.
  5. And that's why he's not a #2 hitter. Send him down, he's absolutely worthless right now. I HATE THE BUNT!
  6. Kids, that is not how you get behind the ball when someone is tagging.
  7. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 20, 2009 -> 02:59 AM) Fields is f***ing hilarious to watch as a baseball player FREE WILSON BETEMIT
  8. Wow, Fields is playing his way out of the big leagues. What a terrible player. Twins now have the tying run at the plate.
  9. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ May 20, 2009 -> 01:53 AM) Joe Freaking Crede again... That was a play he didn't even have to dive for. He's lucky he didn't break his wrist with how close his body was to his arms.
  10. Great to see the 3 runs there, but Pods has got to make contact and Fields has got to switch sports.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2009 -> 12:46 AM) Without looking...which is higher, Brent Lillibridge's OPS on the season or Nick Swisher's OPS in May? Is Getz's lower?
  12. The Cardinals lineup has gone from formidable to just awful. The injury to Ludwick was a huge blow, and Ankiel/Greene being out hurts. I don't know why Pujols ever sees a pitch to hit.
  13. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 19, 2009 -> 10:39 PM) Brian Anderson homers and Hawk screams "welcome back to Chicago Brian!" BTW, whoever gets bumped from the Charlotte starting lineup (probably Eider Torres, who probably projects better than L-Bridge) should go in your sig.... Oh believe me, there's more of the Lillicurse to come. I'm very scared that Quentin's going to go on the DL, and Lillicurse will be right back up.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 19, 2009 -> 10:32 PM) I'm telling you, the over is a lock tonight. I feel like we'll either score 0-1 runs and Baker will have a no-hitter into the 6th inning or we'll score 7+ runs. Nothing in-between.
  15. Really, Fields in the 2nd spot again? Why not give that spot to Alexei to see if that can get him going.
  16. QUOTE (watchtower41 @ May 19, 2009 -> 08:35 PM) Let's not get crazy... it's not like he was sent to AA. Still only a DL stint away from returning. Hopefully he'll have enough eligibilty to garner ROY votes by the end of the season Yep...horror movies have taught us that the bad guy is never "dead" after the initial incident.
  17. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ May 19, 2009 -> 07:19 PM) He's starting today with Pods in LF. Obviously CQ being out puts this question on hold for a while. Ugh, Quentin's foot injury doesn't seem to be healing.
  18. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 19, 2009 -> 07:16 PM) It's good to see Brian back and if we can get some folks healthy maybe it will help the team start winning It's good to see one less excuse for this team.
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 19, 2009 -> 07:06 PM) Which means like I just said in the other thread, this means at least one DL trip. And a hell of a lot of triples for the opposition.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 19, 2009 -> 05:25 PM) I disagree, his drop down 2-seamer in 05-06 was one of his best pitches and he threw it because it was unhittable, not because he wasnt healthy. Yep, he was throwing it 96 mph and the hitter could do nothing with it but hit it right to Crede. He was basically a two pitch pitcher, and he didn't care if the hitter knew what was coming.
  21. Just like how Hudson did good against Jason Heyward.
  22. Hudson's numbers really remind me of McCarthy, for some reason. Hudson, in my opinion, is a better pitching prospect than Poreda.
  23. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 18, 2009 -> 11:42 PM) Bad news for us, Rickie Weeks is out for the year. Yep, that sucks, as he was coming into his own finally. Counsell will get the start now at 2B, but makes a terrible bench that much thinner.
  24. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 18, 2009 -> 10:39 PM) I'm just afraid if they dump this year (which the fact that they're only 5.5 out after these 2 weeks makes me think nobody is going to run away with this division) and go young and attendance goes down, the Sox will come in with a ridiculously low payroll and point to the attendance. There's just as good of a chance as a low payroll if we got 78-84.
  25. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 18, 2009 -> 09:07 PM) They also have some intriguing names. For example, I'd take my chances on Vitters, only problem being the Sox have a ton of 3rd base prospects already. No no, don't trade with the Cubs. Their players are so overrated. Also, I think I might have a stroke if I see one of my favorite Sox players of all time closing out a World Series for them (no, I'm not talking about Neal Cotts).
