  1. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 04:57 AM) Aside from Forte, have we really had any positives come out of this season? G-reg is a Pro-Bowl caliber TE
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 04:53 AM) thats just bad aim, pretty good touch on the ball actually since it was easily catchable by the defense. No, I meant the pass by GB on their last drive.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 03:51 AM) Not true at all. Touch is the ability to correctly gauge distance, angle and ball flight to both deep and short routes. Touch is the ability to be able to read the correct distance, velocity and angle on a throw at all different lengths of throws. Like the great pass to Finley a few minutes ago.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 03:50 AM) And put who in? No doubt in my mind that Rex is better than Orton right now. If Orton's coming back next year, I can only pray his terrible 2nd half this season is due to the injury.
  5. PULL HIM! Terrible deep ball, terrible footwork, and terrible vision.
  6. Terrible series for Orton....his footwork in the pocket has sucked lately.
  7. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 03:05 AM) I'm not a Rex fanboy by any standards, but there's really a double standard there. Orton was treated as the savior of this franchise for a few weeks at the beginning of the season. But if Rex was out there doing what Orton is doing right now the stadium would be up in flames, it's pretty silly. Orton's earned himself a full season's worth of starts to show what he can do, but he should not be cemented anywhere, and hasn't earned the privilege of excuse-making. Bottom line, Orton's not the answer, no matter how much some fans managed to convince themselves that he is. Well said...damn quick healing ankles!
  8. Orton is just awful now. I can't believe he's escaped so much blame from the media this season.
  9. They're kicking our ass. Almost a carbon-copy of the game at GB.
  10. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 03:47 AM) Nobody used to be able to throw to the middle of the field, now it's basically free completion territory. They can't stop 3rd and long anymore. Urlacher and Brown used to dominate that area, Urlacher is never placed anywhere near the ball anymore though. thank you Babich
  11. This game's looking like the game at Green Bay, where their offense can move it at will.
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 02:42 AM) I will be a very sad individual if Orton is starting for the Bears next season, and im not saying give it back to Grossman I dont want either of those bums. He's been just terrible since returning from injury.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 03:40 AM) what kind of kick off was that by gould...... he got it in the endzone last time. Wind must be going against them.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 03:27 AM) Wow, good thing the coaches and players came prepared. We really look like we want to win. Stop...they were playing for a 0-0 tie
  15. Terrible job by Lovie...you have to be in the protect coverage there.
  16. Look for Escobar to possibly be moved now, as he's represented by this firm.
  17. QUOTE (IamPabloOzuna @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 06:29 PM) they will care soon enough...this team is too good not to get noticed a little more. UIC went to play a solid Vanderbilt team and beat them. UIC went to georgia tech and beat them. UIC went to Redbird Arena to play the Illinois State Redbirds...and lost--even when the Redbirds couldn't shoot. 11-0 and no signs of stopping. That Vanderbilt team is terrible, but it was still an impressive win for UIC.
  18. QUOTE (beck72 @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) So, I take it you have first hand knowledge of Marquez? My brother saw him a few times, and was extremely unimpressed.
  19. QUOTE (False Alarm @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 03:23 AM) marquez's 2007 at AA was nothing special at all. his groundball percentage--at AA--was only 52% (for a guy who's billed as a sinkerballer/groundball machine). his k/9 was bad. it's well established that ERA doesn't predict future performance very well. there's no recent scouting report that indicates his stuff is good again now, and everyone can agree that his 2008 was spectacularly bad. i have no idea why anyone would think he'd be decent at the major-league level in any role whatsoever in 2009. i hope the chisox scouts have, like, inside info or something that's not apparent to us, but with the info we have, it's unrealistic to expect a notable contribution out of him in the bigs this year. This is the best post I've seen in a while.
