  1. Stat gurus...how many of our games have the starting pitchers given up 5 runs or more?
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2009 -> 01:33 AM) Is Sizemore still up? I see he got a hit. Pretty disappointing start for Richard. 10 recorded outs, 9 base runners. Next?
  3. QUOTE (tommy @ May 13, 2009 -> 01:32 AM) That's it for Clayton, DJ Carrasco in. Is Sizemore still up?
  4. Carrasco time coming up soon. Richard at 70 pitches with no outs in the 4th.
  5. Getz really struggling this series. He's playing his way into a platoon role, and I don't know if I mind it.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 13, 2009 -> 01:22 AM) I'll let this start slide with Richard getting his feet wet, but I still think the problem the Sox have replacing an ineffective Contreras, is they have nobody who can outperform his badness. Hopefully, Contreras can get his act together quickly in Charlotte. I'm thrilled with Cooper's comments though. I was sick of hearing his stuff is there but his confidence isn't. His fork ball is his main "stuff" pitch, and he had nothing on it so far this year.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 13, 2009 -> 01:20 AM) If Ozzie truely believes Lillibridge gives him a better chance to win than Ramirez right now, its time to really worry about Ramirez. He doesn't, and that's why Ozzie's stubborness is infuriating. Hell, when he's disagreeing with Joey Cora about Alexei's ability to play in CF, that pisses me off even more.
  8. Way to hit the ball in the air again to right Lillibridge. Nothing like getting the leadoff man on board and having two of the worst players in baseball hitting after them.
  9. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ May 13, 2009 -> 01:13 AM) Just give Poreda a f***ing chance, already. How many more games are we going to go with Carrasco, Richard, etc. until we try? Even if he fails miserably, atleast we know. We already know what we have in the guys currently on the roster. Just remember...if we see Poreda or Beckham this year, we're in trouble. Richard's brought this upon himself by walking so many hitters.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:02 AM) Josh is not fun to watch this year. Yep, he turned into a power threat at the plate to a slap hitter. If Fields can't hit a soft tossing lefty, he's never going to hit. That's the type of pitcher he killed in 2007.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2009 -> 11:59 PM) DJ says Thome really not running well. If Ozzie starts playing Lillibridge at DH, I quit
  12. Could Thome have scored on that double? Big chance for Fields here.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2009 -> 11:58 PM) At this point, it's difficult to imagine how Lillibridge won't go down this weekend. Are you challenging the Lillicurse? Jermaine, Pods, Getz, Fields, Nix, and Alexei should be extra careful.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:57 AM) If anything, his hot streak could finally rid us of having to watch Brent Lillibridge when BA is ready to return. Unless CQ goes on the DL, and I'm sure Pods would get hurt then.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:55 AM) Why is Getz swinging at the 1st pitch? He's in-between right now. It's ok, consider it a learning opportunity. He'll probably get tomorrow off, and that's fine. I think a lot of us forget that he's a rookie, and we expect a MLB caliber leadoff hitter.
  16. #9 hitter continues to haunt the Sox. Richard brought this upon himself with the two walks.
  17. Way too many walks by Sox pitchers to the bottom of the opponent's order.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2009 -> 11:43 PM) You'd kind of hope a guy like him would learn a few things about how to use his speed...being more of a slap hitter, rather than popping the ball up all the time. Something I noticed about him is he's really slow at getting out of the box. For as fast as he is on the bases, he's nowhere near the speed of Getz when getting down the line.
  19. I definitely don't dislike Lillibridge as a person, as he is being done a huge injustice by being kept in the majors. Lillibridge seems like a nice kid, and I'm sure he's as surprised as any of us that he continues to get so many at bats after his terrible year last year and his terrible performance in Spring Training and the early part of this year.
  20. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:33 AM) No I'm not surprised I just get visibly angry when I see his f***ing face I said it last night. By no fault of his own, he's the most unlikeable Sox player in ages...maybe since Jaime Navarro.
  21. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:31 AM) God you f***ing suck Lillibridge You're surprised? He'll be playing tomorrow also.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:13 AM) The lillicurse. Permission to use Lillicurse?
  23. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:13 AM) I was talking more about Fathom's signature. He can't say that Lillibridge has made all those players bad, since Dye isn't doing poorly Explain your madness Fathom. Sorry...it's all the players that have been injured this season that resulted in Lillibridge getting a start.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2009 -> 11:05 PM) When's the last time we went 4 games without a home run? The Rally Post
  25. When's the last time we went 4 games without a home run?
