The more time passes this month, the more frustrated I get that we never gave Poreda a chance to be a valuable member of our bullpen. I don't care if his slider sucks...a mid 90s sinker can be very effective one time through the order. Look at the Twins...they just put Mijares right into the mix, and he's been golden for them.

I heard some rumblings that AJP was upset with Cabrera's comments, and said that OC would know nothing about guys like Konerko, Thome, Dye, and himself since he's never around them. Sure sounds like a tight clubhouse.

I never thought I'd say this, but Cabrera might be my favorite player on this current roster at this moment. I really appreciate that he's not going down quietly.

I just hope things don't get so ugly over the next few weeks with OC that KW feels he can't even risk offering OC arbitration.

The ultimate test for our manager's motivation skill. If these guys come out flat when they still control their own destiny...then maybe we should make OC the manager.

Predict the lineup....here's mine: SS- Cabrera CF- Anderson 2B- Ramirez DH- Thome RF- Dye 1B- Konerko LF- Swisher C- AJP 3B- Uribe

That Swisher for Cano trade would be interesting, but all the rumors suggest Cano will be used to acquire some pitching. I think two free agents the Sox will look at besides Hudson are Punto and Abreu. Abreu and Ozzie are close friends, and if there was anyway the Sox could move Dye to DH by unloading Thome, he would be a great fit in RF.

One more thing....with the White Sox, Ken Griffey Jr. is 7-44 against LHP with an OPS around .450. Stop letting him face lefty relievers!!

Here goes nothing: - In the last 8 games, the White Sox have exactly one single, double, or triple that went into the outfield to score a runner. Every other run has been scored via homer or ground out. - You want a positive? We can actually cheer for a thriving offense this weekend when hoping for the Royals to beat the Twins. I have a feeling our old buddy Miguel Olivo could have some big hits against Liriano and/or Perkins. - There is absolutely no chance that Orlando Cabrera returns to the White Sox.
