  1. Another fantastic swing by CQ on a 3-2 pitch.
  2. Good recovery by Danks...time for the offense to wake up tonight.
  3. Not good...hopefully he can stay composed on the mound instead of falling off violently like he did in the Sizemore AB.
  4. Ugh...Danks started to lose his mechanics last inning, and now he hangs the first pitch to Shoppach. Might want to get Dotel up in the pen in case Danks starts to lose it.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 01:17 AM) I smell a hit from BA. Should have predicted a homer
  6. Seems like Lee's getting most of his outs on his change-up, and that's after getting ahead in the count with his fastball.
  7. Twins up 3-1 after Monroe crushes his former mates.
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 02:10 AM) Heh, papa Danks. Tell Jordan to sign. I was wondering if that could be a pre-cursor.
  9. BTW, can anyone confirm two hot girls making out on the smile cam last night? I missed it, but my wife and brother saw it.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 12:54 AM) Just rewinded and noticed it. Ahhh, kids are so great. creep
  11. Including tonight, Sox face 3 of the best pitches in baseball in consecutive games. I would be thrilled with 2 of 3.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) Pitch might have been high, but I can't complain about the call. It was a meatball too (high changeup, lucky for Lee Quentin wasn't expecting an off-speed pitch). It was a strike...one of the few times I've seen CQ fooled on a 3-2 pitch all season.
  13. Wow, anyone see those girls fall down right behind Quentin?
  14. I was at the game last night, so I don't know what the mood was in here....but was anyone else getting annoyed with how long Masset was left in (especially since Thornton warming up to start the inning).
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 01:43 AM) Remember spring training Brian Anderson? Where did THAT guy go? Great strike zone recognition, gap power, situational hitter, RBI machine. He seems to get too jumpy when he has 2 strikes on him.
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 01:42 AM) All three of those guys, just hitting normalish, is pretty damn scary. Yeah, I was thinking today about how you take those 3, and you add them to Quentin/Dye, and then have solid guys like AJ and OC.....reasons for optimism.
  17. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 12:39 AM) That was pretty s***ty, Brian. I'm getting excited about a healthier PK at 1b, and rejuvenated Thome at DH with Swisher in CF.
  18. Anderson's looked completely clueless against offspeed pitches lately (ok, his entire career).
  19. Sac fly by Ramirez on an absolute rocket. If Milton Bradley was out there, it would have gone over his head.
  20. Bases loaded for Ramirez. This is a huge opportunity for the Sox tonight. Hopefully he's patient, as he's been a little jumpy at the plate lately.
  21. Thome's been taking some great swings lately. Nice to see him notice Lee is throwing first pitch fastballs to everyone.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 01:20 AM) CQ hits into the inning ender. It's so weird how CQ and Crede struggle mightily against LHP, but destroy righties.
