  1. Wow, that 2-0 to Maza wasn't even close! Terrible umpiring, and Dodgers deserve to lose this game.
  2. Dewitt gets meatball after meatball to square up, and then chases a horrible pitch. Dempster reminds me of Kevin Millwood from 2005.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ May 26, 2008 -> 07:30 PM) Torre not adapting to NL managing? Why wasn't Billingsley bunting? You didn't like Billingsley chase a pitch 3 feet off the plate? Dodgers have had a few chances to dent the scoreboard, and only have one on a cheap hit by Pierre.
  4. This Dodgers team is pretty crappy without Loney and Furcal in the lineup. Also, the Cubs face a bad Rockies team this coming weekend with Holliday, Hawpe, and Barmes. Plenty of time for Pods to shine!
  5. OC's received the most favorable official scoring of any Sox player I can ever remember. For him to be complaining about it, I am stunned. Hopefully he'll continue to get on base a few times each game like he has been recently.
  6. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ May 26, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) Looks like we have another Royce Clayton on our hands http://www.suntimes.com/sports/deluca/9687...eluca25.article Do team leaders usually care about their individuals stats this much? He's been very hard to root for.
  7. Before that pitch, I go to my brother "I want to see the bat flip"! Great win!
  8. Three hitters coming up that will be swinging for the long ball. One time 3/4/5!
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 26, 2008 -> 02:08 AM) He was dominant for a while and was getting a lot of K's. I'd be surprised if he didn't have a 10K plus game. This game ain't over people. Lackey pitched a good one, Sox pen is gonna have to man up now and hopefully the offense can muster up enough runs to win this (hopefully all it takes is one more run by the Sox). Contreras had some huge K games in 2006, at Texas and at Cincy. He had 13 or 14, I believe.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 26, 2008 -> 02:07 AM) If Dye were playing RF for the Angels it would have dropped by 10 feet. Matthews Jr is freaking stellar defensively. I was thinking the same....seeing that Matthews Jr. play live on Swisher yesterday was amazing.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2008 -> 02:07 AM) Is Linebrink's fastball really hitting 94 right now? GM Jr. had a great pitch to hit on the 2-0. Damn, that homer in the 4th was cheap.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2008 -> 02:05 AM) Kudos to Jose. Damn shame he's gonna end up with a ND. Our starting pitching gave up runs in 3 out of 22 innings this series, and not one of them got a W.
  13. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 02:03 AM) IMO AJ is by far the most overrated player on this team That's a lofty statement on such an underachieving offensive team.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 26, 2008 -> 03:02 AM) I hate to be a dick, but my god, even AJP is horses*** right now. What pathetic excuses for at bats. How the hell are we in first place??? 8 game win streak, while rest of division is underachieving = 1st place in standings.
  15. Embarrassing....keep sitting there and wait for a homer Ozzie!
  16. Filthy stuff...get someone on for CQ. I sense an AJP extra base hit.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ May 26, 2008 -> 02:52 AM) Best sign ever behind our dugout! What does it say?
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ May 26, 2008 -> 01:47 AM) Nice AB, Joe. Nice AB, Swisher. This offense is such a joke.
  19. Has Crede done anything this series? He needs to do better to impress his future team.
  20. Great job by Contreras. That Napoli foul ball = right size, wrong shape.
  21. Anyone following the Reds game? Nothing like pitching your young superstar on 2 days rest in the 18th inning.
  22. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 02:41 AM) i missed it too fathom, but tell me you at least saw the cubs highlights? Just about 10 seconds worth....I was following it on my cell phone, good stuff!
